A FAMILIAR MANTRA

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were familiar and had a mantra, and now it is time for you to post until the familiar cows come home.

Reasonable temperatures seem to have returned to the New York area.

Well, in my half hour or so of being up and getting a cup of coffee in front of me, I'm already ready to declare this An Allergy Day.

There's no rhyme or reason to it.  It seems to overtake me just one day in every few.  Or several.  It also seems to be an exceptionally active allergy summer for the likes of moi.

But enough talk about me!

Tell me, dear reader, what do YOU think of my allergy days?

BK,

Speaking of PORGY AND BESS:

What ever happened to your plan to do that show with an all white cast?

Vibes that the allergies don't get in the way of your day.

There are actually allergy jokes that can be found online.

Typical joke:  Did you hear the recording of "Blowin' in the Wind" by Peter Pollen Mary?

I was up far too late last night.  Around 9:30, I thought, let's watch a couple of episodes of Season 2 of Vicious, with Derek Jacobi and my close personal friend Ian McKellan,  Two hours later, I had watched them all.  They are so rude and so funny.

Then I finished my second reading of Gregory Maguire's novel Wicked, so much better than the musical.  I enjoyed it more the second time.  Someone needs to do a mini-series of the actual book.

I need to cart a lot of junk to the basement and get to the corner bodega for a few things.  After the 2:00 auditions, I'll stop at the Broadway Farms market for fresh fruit and vegetables.

Speaking of the auditions, we could use some vibes.  We have to finish the casting for this reading. I look forward to seeing the folks who are lined up, but I do not look forward to a trip down to Ripley Grier at 36th Street.

I recorded one of BK's episodes of The Partridge Family yesterday--the one that takes place on a ship.

I am having waves a pain down the front of my left leg.  They were strong enough to keep waking me up during the night and keep me awake.  I can'tell figure out what is causing them or how to relieve it.

I have been tearing through three external hard drives looking for the live recording of THREEPENNY OPERA at Brandeis with Leonard Bernstein and Lotte Lenya.  I know I had it it one point, but I cannot find it!  Damn.
