The time change here happened last week. I guess I don't get that extra hour after all.

Well, it's been a rather busy 3 months.  10 weeks of shows - 4 shows, Legally Blonde, Spring Awakening, Evita and School of Rock.   All were fine, but I won't be going anywhere near that drek that is Spring Awakening ever again.  I only MD'd School of Rock with high school kids and that was awesome.  Evita was also done by a high school, and they pulled it off quite well.  This will be the first week of being show-less and I'm really happy!!   The last weekend was challenging as I had some sort of stomach thing happening and had to conduct School of Rock with several bouts of nausea on Saturday night.  I don't recommend that to anyone.

So now I'm show-less for a few months.  Then in January it starts all over again.  I'm looking forward to Spring Break as I'll be heading to NYC to see shows, sights and people.  I have tickets to see Bette in Hello Dolly! and of course I'll see Sunset Blvd

The dogs are finally getting along.  In fact, I'm listening to them play on the patio as I write this.  I can't be happier.  It was touch and go for the first few months, but some puppy day camp has done wonders for both.

That's all for now.

Hi, JohnG, hope all is going great!

Everything is wonderful. Thanks.

The weather has been excellent. Today's foraging included basil and arugula, plus more oregano and fennel. Maybe some garlic; will have to check that out in daylight.

I am not a Garland fan, and I have never understood the "Judy" cult.  I like her performances in "The Wizard of Oz," "Meet Me In St Louis," and "The Pirate" very much.

I tried watching DIRK GENTLY the other night and couldn't even get through the first episode. Does anyone like the show? I like quirky humor, but this didn't work for me.

DR Jeanne, did you see my answer to your psychic phenomena inquiry?

Yes, I did. Thanks for reminding me. (Half a brain at the moment due to lack of sleep.) My impression is that most of these are similar to yours, i.e., more of a vision that any sort of interaction.

When I lived in Old Town Alexandria there was sometimes a strange presence in the guest room on the third floor. (House was circa 1820.) No actual ghost sighting, but just a feeling that there was something there. I wasn't the only one who felt it. A painter I'd hired asked if the house had a ghost. He'd been alone in the house, working on the third floor. I'd never mentioned a ghost. I dealt with it by talking to the ghost/presence one day when I was alone in the house. I told it I wished it no ill will and that it was welcome to stay, but please not cause any problems. (No poltergeist, please!) We seemed to get along after that.

Thanks for your answer, Larry, and I'm always up for ghost stories.

And, no, I didn't mention it when I was selling the house. Many houses in that neighborhood have a reputation, but I'm sure the real estate agents avoid the topic.

Good to see you, Matthew. Sorry your path had to cross with Spring Awakening.

I did it as a favor to an MD friend of mine.  He hated it too. But the keyboard part was hardly worth my time or effort to get there (and set up and tear down) each night.

I had a near miss with Spring Awakening myself.  When an emergency came up with an MD's family, this theater group called every MD, keyboardist, and plain old Sunday School Pianist in the state of Connecticut in an attempt to get people to step in for even one performance.  I knew absolutely nothing about the show, and ducked just in time.  Close call.
