Listening to a composer I really like - Darius Milhaud (Mee-yo).  His jazzy and wonderful piece Le Creation du Monde.  My other favorites by him are the amazing Le Boeuf Sur Le Toit and Suite Provencale.

That is what I have been trying to do.

From what I understand, part of the set will be transformed into our set, but I am not sure what that means.

Hmmm.

The big problem was getting a cast of overstuffed actors to actually act.

[George]

I worked concessions for the annual Warren Miller movie, and usually it's been a total drunken madhouse, but over the last couple of years, the audiences have gotten a little mellower.  I guess they're all growing up and don't want to be a drunken mess while watching a movie.

[George]

My computer is in the shop....so I have been E/T for a couple of days.  It should return sometime on Monday.

Keep the home fries burning.

But you could tell that the weather is getting ready to change.

I actually just updated my weather app and it shows rain for the next several days.

I am in that place where the lines are still being pushed into my memory.

I'm not there yet.  I'll be working on my 12 lines this weekend.

Twelve lines may not seem like a lot, but one of them is about a third of a page long!  It's not as long as my "Office Supplies" monologue last year, but it's a close second.

I do too, but my scooter doesn't.

It's definitely going to be the difficult one.

But, I actually don't go back to rehearsal until Tuesday, so I've got time.

I know what you mean, George.  Calling it one line is laughable.

Yup.  I have a little notebook where I write my cue lines on one page and my lines on the back.  I have the one long monologue broken out onto four pages so that I can think of and learn it in chunks.

But if we're ready enough, we might be able to have the whole Thanksgiving weekend off from rehearsal...so I'd better get cracking!

I have double check at rehearsal tomorrow.  We were told we would have a student matinee on December 6, but nothing else has been said.

So, I get e-mails from FootlightRecords.com (formerly an actual record store in NYC, now the website is owned and operated by the owner of Original Cast Records), and in the e-mail I got today, the London cast recording of 1776 is now available!  It doesn't say it until you put it in a cart, but it's a CD-R...which is not a horrible thing for a 40 year old recording being released on CD for the first time.  I wonder if they just got a record and burned that, or if they were able to get the original master tapes and burn CDs from those.
