Question. When posting a picture, how does one know how big it will be (how large it will show up as) if one cannot preview?

My favorite new Newtwork show is CBS’s “Cold Case”

This Jerry Bruckheimer show stars Kathryn Morris ("Minority Report," "AI: Artificial Intelligence," "The Last Castle," "The Contender," "As Good As It Gets" and "Jerry Maguire."). It has some of the most loving footage of urban Philadelphia since M. Night Shyamalan’s films.

USA network has a long string of good shows.
First there was “Dead Zone”, then “Monk”, and now “Peacemakers”.

It has Tom Berenger as a crusty oldtime Marshall

Peter O”Meara as a cocky young Sherlock wanta-be

and Amy Carlson as a not-yet-doctor as the coroner (Think Dr. Quinn meets Jordan)

For on-going series I’m addicted to “Stargate SG-1”
It stars one of my favorites, Richard Dean Anderson, in his latest role.

I also watch watching him in MacGyver reruns

and wish his show “Legend” had lasted longer.

Now, tell me this man hasn’t aged well!

I also enjoy Crossing Jordan – though Ken Howard has not aged well – but still puts in a nice performance.

The credit writers must have had fun with:

Dr. Trey Sanders played by Mahershalalhashbaz Ali
Mahesh Vijayaraghavensatyanaryanamurthy played by Ravi Kapoor

And, speaking (or actually writing) of Tom Berenger, he starred in one of my favorite films: Rowdty Herrington’s “A Murder of Crows”. It’s cast includes Cuba Goofing Jr, a fascinating support part by Eric Stoltz, and a wonderful turn by Marianne Jean-Baptiste (now in “Without a Trace”). The DVD has one of the best audio commentaries I’ve heard.

And before Woody gets a chance to point out my guilty pleasures, I confess to a continuing addiction to “Murder She Wrote” and “Diagnosis Murder”.

der Brucer: Please, one pic per post, otherwise it takes forever for people with dial-up modems to load the pages. And, yes, I think that mixing genres can result in something unique - it's what David Wechter and I did in The Faculty. I don't think Alias is unique however, which is not to say I'm not enjoying it. As to the authors you list, yes, I suppose if you mixed them into a pot you could come up with a Kritzer novel, but only if the author of the Kritzer novel had actually read their writing. I've never read Mr. Barry, Miss Kerr or Miss Bombeck - I'm ashamed to admit it, but it's true. Alecheim I've read - at least his play The High School, which you'll discover when you read Kritzer Time.

For me "Video Killed The Radio Star" but "Reality Television" really slaughtered television. My only viewing other than the nightly news is the brilliant "Six Feet Uner" (we are about half way through series 3) and "Raymond" when we are not getting repeats. "Six Feet Under" has characters that whilst consistent in themeselves are constantly able to surprise with their reactions and choices. I really "feel" for the "Fisher family" and there nearest and dearest. Perhaps the secret is indeed that the directors of each episode are from fim and not TV.
Love some of the photos that are appearing on the site - sometimes I think I have gone to the wrong site! The scrap books of td and MBarnum are truly sensational!

Several HHW regulars seem to be missing in action. Susan, Charles, Michael S., Dave ... I'm making fewer appearances because of the tsuris I'm having with the new format, but wonder what's become of some of the oldtimers. BTW, the only way I can manage to read and post without timing out is to do the reply-button thing and drop by early in the day.

My favorite current (but not new) TV show is The West Wing. Without doubt, some of the best dialogue to be found on television. Combined with very strong performances (particularly, IMHO, Allison Janney) you get one heck of a program.

Only other current shows I watch on a consistent basis are CSI and Without A Trace. For non-current shows, I greatly enjoy M*A*S*H, Cheers, and my all-time favorite Quantum Leap.
