Guess I'll go do some banking, then eat an early meal, then have the work session, then see Richard Sherman, then maybe drop by the El Portal.

I shall have to think about the TOD, but I can name a couple:

Doctor Atomic by Robert Adams

The Crucible which has been talked about here before......

I have Doctor Atomic, but I haven't watched it yet.

i am glad I saw TCB and Georges lists...I didn't think of Jesus Chrust Superstar or Evita as operas but I suppose they are.

So those 2

Passion really isn't an opera, either, but I consider it rhapsodically operatic. :)

I have trouble with that kind of thing, too.

I might be the only one here, but Strauss's Salome and Elektra.  And based on what I've heard, and much to my surprise, I'd be interested in getting into Schoenberg's Moses und Aron.

That reminds me to also include Claude-Michel Schönberg's Les Misérables and Miss Saigon.

I just added Dooley Wilson singing "As Time Goes By" to my phone song list.  I am trying to pick a different artist to also add.  Does anyone have a favorite version to recommend?

Harry Nilsson did a wonderful version of this on his album "A Little Touch of Schmilsson in the Night".

There is also the British comedy "As Time Goes By", starring Judi Dench and Geoffrey Palmer, with the theme sung by Joe Fagin

I love Bobby Short's version. But then again, I love most of his recordings.

A week from today I head to Austin for a three-day digital banking seminar. How out of my depth will I be?

Hi everyone.  If you can believe it, I'm show-less for a month and a half or so.  I can finally clean my apartment.  Well, I have to clean my apartment, as someone is coming to stay and watch the boys when I go to Disneyland on Sunday.  Trying to get rid of things in the process.
