Well, I was typing this last night but the day changed before I could post it, so here it is [text adjusted for posting today]:

Right after work (yesterday), I rushed down to The Midnight Sun to bring them the money till and my tablet for the performance of TAO's 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche.  I then had to rush back to Tumwater for the Hairspray rehearsal.  It started at 6:00, but was a bit of a bust...for me, at least.  I was only involved in two scenes and all I did was come on, say one line, then leave.  Our Corny Collins broke his foot a few weeks ago but he's been recovering.  He's definitely on the mend.  His wife is playing Velma von Tussle and they have three kids, all probably under the age of four. ::)

Anyway, the rehearsal was pretty much for them.  We got through Corny's blocking, he sang through his songs, we got through a couple of scenes with Velma and Corny (and me), then they all left.  The kids in the show (and the couple of adult dancers) stayed to work on/learn more choreography, so the other adults (Prudy, Motormouth Maybelle and I) got to leave at about 8:15.

I took the opportunity to go back to work and scan my script to a PDF so I can highlight it and write all over it.  That took about 45 minutes!  When that was done, I went back to The Sun to pick up the money till and my tablet (they had about 18 people in the audience) and then I came home.

Good night, Tom.  I had to get up too early yesterday, so I'm going to go to bed now, too.

Have a good day, all.

Catching up via my phone. Cannot connect via my laptop.

Been watching My Fair Lady. It's not as good of a film as I remember.

Many many strange dreams last night but I remember only two.  The first was a nightmare with vampires and other unsettling things, then a dream about someone who is no longer a friend and Bette Midler's current revival of Hello Dolly.

I need to run to City Center this morning and see Joshie.  I hope the elevator is back in service.  The possibility of its being out of commission all weekend really pisses me off.

Friday morning greetings!  I'm up early for a free all-day genealogy preconference at McCormick Place.  Richard is snoozing and this reminds me of when he'd retired and I was still working.

DR John G, I learned about Modjeskas (alternate spelling) when My book group read Susan Sontag's novel In America.  I bought some at Cracker Barrel and took them to our meeting.  Your Mother's sound divine!

I've canceled my trek to City Center.  Too hot, too humid, and I'm ot too enthusiastic about climbing the stairs once I return.

Envious of DR Ginny enjoying Chicago.  In one year I grew to love that town more than I can say.
