The housecleaning continues. If I were ambitious and entrepreneurial, I would start a business Rent-A-Sherpa.  I sould sure use that company at the moment.

That utilities check I dropped in the post box on August 28 finally cleared the bank, sixteen days later!  Do I blame the Post Office or Con Edison?

What I did learn is that I should have booked a ticket regardless if I had electricity or not and if not cancelled it within 24 hrs and then rebooked and kept doing it until I had a confirmation of power. Prices were lower and available further out.

Sorry about that.

I now have friends staying with me as they are not supposed to have power until next week.

Are they at your place now or waiting until you return home?

OMG, anyone who was going to drive into Florida -- I'm hearing such horror stories about traffic backed up for MILES with people returning home or just traveling there.  I daresay those Vixes, and my own friends here, have dodged a major bullet.

It was smart of them to change their plans.

My wife is fine.  She's walking around with a special shoe for the next 3 weeks, but...

Thanks for all the good wishes.

Continued vibes for a full recovery.

Wednesday morning greetings!

I am moving quite slowly this morning.

Me, too, DR Elmore.  I slept until almost 8:30, which is very late for me.

I just discovered at the back of one closet two storage boxes of scores from 1984-2000.  Won't the Miami U Library be happy.

Back from meeting with six very talented student costume designers.  I picked my two favorites and now they'll actually design a couple of costumers.  I already know that the gal who would be my first choice is, of course, big surprise, the first choice of the director doing the show before Levi.  But I was also told that Levi will get who I want because it's in the big theater and high profile.

In other news, the Rodney Dangerfield Back to School reading that I had been asked to do (to play the Ned Beatty role) and then unasked a week before by the idiot director who thought he got himself a bigger "name" with Paul Rodriguez - he then asked if I'd play a bunch of smaller roles and I said, of course, no because I thought the way they handled it was disgusting.  Apparently not a sellout, and apparently Mr. Rodriguez was a four-star disaster.  So, karma, folks.

Then I went to the House of Pies and had broasted chicken - couldn't even get to the second breast so took it home.

Then I picked up a couple of tiny packages and now I'm home.  I did have an negative e-mail from the cloven hoof, answered it simply, and will not look at any others until next week.
