And now, I must be off.  My sister needs to help her do some stuff.  For her birthday, I bought her a new picnic table and need to put that together, but I guess it's been raining, so I might not be able to get to that.

So, have a good rest of the day, all!

I've been re-reading Sir Peter Hall's Diaries with much more appreciation than I had when I first read them.  Some things still irritate me, like his unkind remarks about the scores for A Little Night Music and Sweeney Todd while he chooses to direct Via Galactica, but I find the politics of dealing with friends/rivals, critics, actors, playwrights, etc. really interesting and continue to wonder at his stamina.  I've just ordered his autobiography.

Oh my, all of that sounds interesting.

His wife soprano/mezzo-soprano Maria Ewing was a schoolmate, so I got to accompany her in various and sundry little things including a few voice lessons with Eleanor Steber.

She was his fourth wife; Leslie Caron was his second.  In the diaries, he's just directed her in Cosi Fan Tutte at Glyndebourne, and appears infatuated.  His Glyndebourne production for her of Carmen is really wonderful.

I have considered this story from several angles and I fail to understand the logistcs:
http://worldnewsdailyreport.com/couple-hospitalized-after-man-gets-his-head-stuck-in-his-wifes-vagina/

Just because there are people on Facebook (see Jane's comment about my comment) who think this is real - it's not.  It's a "satire" website - not funny, mind you, but "satire" nonetheless.

Your response to those who believed it made it funny ;D

Elmore, that cute kitten I posted the other day -- she must have been adopted. Her photo is gone.

Good news.

I noticed the cost to adopt was $125.  Is that typical or does the price vary with each pet?  DR elmore feel free to also answer my question regarding adoption fees.

That was Peter Brook, who also directed Marat/Sade.

I was lacking a Wacky Noodles ingredient, so instead I made pasta with red sauce - about four ounces, I think.
