My library will take donations on the condition that if they don't add them to the collection, the items don't have to be returned. He called over 20 times until I picked up and said for me to never not speak to him again because he loved me. He knew I didn't have any money, didn't ask for any but it turned out he was not the person he said he was.

Well, no fool like an old fool, right?

On top of all that, my tooth broke last Sunday and I'm having to get a crown. Like I can afford that right now.

Sorry about David & your tooth. As for David, you took a chance and that does not make you a fool no matter what age.

Is anyone watching (or is going to watch) the first episode of "Star Trek Discovery"? I was doing laundry and watching an episode of "Modern Family" from the end of last season before I remembered that it was on. Fortunately, I remembered to set my DVR to record it, so I'll start watching it now.

Wrote another bit of commentary and realized I had to flip two songs in the show order. Wrote one additional bit and can write no more. Maybe after another hour I'll try to do two more bits of commentary, which would then only leave three to do tomorrow.

Instead, I went to Taco Bell for dinner. I had the Fiesta Taco Salad with chicken and no shell. That saves a bunch of carbs.

Then, I returned some LED tube light bulbs to Costco. I bought them a couple of days ago, thinking that I could just replace my regular fluorescent tube bulbs in my kitchen for these LEDs, but they didn't work as well as I thought that they should've.

Then, I went to Home Depot and bought some regular fluorescent tube bulbs and put those in the fixture and they worked perfectly, so that's finally done.

Then, I watched "Star Trek Discovery." I know that the special effects nowadays are so much better than they were during the 1960s when the original series was being filmed, but why does the story line have to be so inconsistent with established Star Trek canon??

STD (HA! HA! I just realized what the initials look like!

) is set only 10 years before ST:TOS, but so many things are wrong. Having a woman captain was the specific plot of one of the last episodes: women couldn't be captains...simply because they were women.

I know that it shouldn't have been that way, but that was the way of the world at the time that the show was filmed. Also, the Klingons in the new show are completely different than the Klingons that were on the original series.

I will say that if it were on broadcast TV, I'd watch it...and complain a lot...but I'd watch it. I do like the special effects, except for the damned lens flares.
