DR Laura, Annabelle is now playing with Da Bird but she prefers fishie on a pole.  Little Thatch today had a wonderful time playing with this:

I just spent 30 minutes with Thatch.  I released him from his carrier, he drank a lot of water, and then we played with a string toy.  He jumped about chasing it and it was good to let him stretch his legs.  I hate keeping him in that carrier and I hope the cage arrives soon.

Annabelle is running about the apartment, in and out of the paper bag, and she's devised this method of running and jumping into her amazon box and letting it slide across the wood floor with her in it.

Progress with Thatch and Annabelle being a typical kitten :)

Joshie would have loved that, Elmore. He loved shoelaces and strings.

His cage is arriving tonight and I will be delighted to have him in the same space with me and Annabelle.

Neve seems to be doing well.  She understands the word "outside."  When I ask if she wants to go outside (to my little enclosed backyard), she goes right to my sliding glass backdoor.

She's a very picky eater, though.  She'll eat one kind of cat food and then the next time I give it to her, she barely even smells it.  That's the hardest part...she's not consistent with what she will and won't eat. :-\

But otherwise, I think she's completely adjusted to living at my place. :)

Today I was called for a random drug test.   I had previously been called in January.  It's luck of the draw.  One of my coworkers has never been chosen in 20 years.

Thanks, DR Jane.  Now I can tie up some ends financially, which I intend to do before we head to Illinois for Thanksgiving next Wednesday.

I managed to usher both shifts today and put in some extra work. The back only bothered me when when I walked normally and not with my core muscles.

And I tried some more strenuous dances than I've worked on lately and the back was fine with all of those.

I must get back to this freelance article on a Brazilian steakhouse. All I want to do is eat meat, not write the article.

It is strange but thank goodness you can dance, and usher.

Wasn't there some sort of story about a person who had to keep dancing because walking without dancing was too painful?  Or maybe it was a sketch on a variety show?

Fortunately there is not a Cheesecake Factory near me.  The only one in Washington I have eaten at is in Bellevue, about 15 minutes from the Second Story Repertory where we hope to see THE LAST STARFIGHTER.  Oh, and the food was very good.

Jane, have you ever seen anything at the Second Story repertory?

And on that note (B-flat), I'm outta here.  I'm off to Red Robin for dinner with my friend Margo, then I'll go home.

But before I go...
