Watching the SAG Awards show which doesn't seem to be quite as political as some of the others.....at least not so far.

I appreciate SAG President Gabrielle Carteris' message, but it might have been better had she not delivered it practically topless.

DR George, I thought you might appreciate my purchase!  Richard and I reassembled it this afternoon and he and Rob hauled it into the space I’d created.  When I have it prettied up a bit, I’ll post a photo.

I meant to mention how I admire your card catalog cabinet!

Well DR VIXMOM at least you didn't do what I would have done.....once the winner was announced I would stand and say:

"Well.....that's it.....I'll never enter this contest again.  Who's with me?"   And walk out.  But that might just be my drama training kicking in.

DR Vixmom are they always the same judges?  Maybe you do need new ones.

SAG Awards show?  The voting just ended on FRIDAY.  Which means this is completely bogus.

I've done seven pages, delivered pages to Muse Margaret, I've taken a break, and will now try to write two or three more, then finish the terrible movie I'm watching.

You are welcome DR VIXMOM.....I am not appeased by the story that it's a blind taste test.....sounds like the Russian ice skating judges from the Olympics.....

I have decided the judges don't really like chili, they really like poultry stews

What's the point?

The shrimp enchilada soup came out quite well. I would like more heat in it, but not in the form of hot sauce.

TCB - Thanks for asklng!  The Lehrer family (Jim, Kate, and their three daughters and their families) seemed to really like what they saw and heard, which was great to know.  They all stayed for the panel discussion afterward (Jim even spoke), and he wrote a great email the next day once he got home, which thrilled the cast and company.

Our agent is now out of the country on business, so if any theaters had called her to ask for the script, we just wouldn't know yet.  But fingers are crossed!

Very best wishes for VIVA MAX!

Great fj d Ginny.  Enjoy 😊

Thanks, DR Jane.  I'll post another picture when I get it all set up.

I see auto-correct changed what I wrote, or I just couldn't see what I was typing on my tablet ;D

I thought it was Norwegian.

I’ve gotta crow — for I have entered an entire song into Finale, and y’all can’t imagine what a landmark achievement that was.  144 bars of SATB, piano, bass, with drums to be added later.  That’s more challenging because I don’t have experience in drum notation.  Reading it is one thing.  Figuring out how to get it all in properly when it’s not written out well in the first place, is another.  In the meantime, I’ll tackle another song, one in a wholly different style from the first.

Congrats, Chas!

Just watched a play called The Trial of the Moke. It's about the first black West Point grad, who was railroaded into embezzlement charges while he was serving in Fort Davis, Texas. Needless to say, he was convicted.

Great cast included Alfre Woodard and, in a tiny part, a young Samuel L. Jackson.

Darn.  I totally forgot about them.  I like to watch them (just to watch them) and my friend Margo usually likes a DVD copy since she doesn't have cable to watch them live.

I got there late, but my niece had brought a whole left-over Costco pepperoni pizza from yesterday's women's march, where my sister was volunteering at the PFLAG booth.
