Organizing the mess sounds like fun!

I'm going back to bed but I just heard about Sammy. So sad about this - he had a lot of demons but I always adored him. I'll write about our small history in the notes. The first musical he did after A Chorus Line was, of all things, my show Stages. And I did get to use him in one Kritzerland show.

I'm afraid I've joined the ranks of the walking wounded. I think I pulled a muscle in my right arm the other day. It hurts like hell and I have very limited use of that arm. Two nights of poor sleep haven't helped. I shall make my time here brief.

My friend Pam went to an Indiana college, St Mary of the Woods, and when she graduated in 1968 she married a student in the Miami U architecture dept., which was a 5-year program. She worked the summer theatre season with me and the director of the dept. offered her an assistantship in the box office for Sept. 1968, when I became a grad assistant as well. I loved her immediately.

This photo of her and Paul is from around 1969.

Today on her Facebook page her daughters posted this:
To Everyone Who Loves Pam - The family has gathered to fill the house on Drummond Road with love, warmth, and a lot of Bruce Springsteen. These days, Mom's body can't always keep up with her spirit. This is happening fast -- for all of us. Mom has lived a powerful life and has fought a great fight; and done both with love. I'm up, I'm up - again. Was up at ten due to an upset tummy, took another Pepcid and went back to sleep after a call with my book order gal - she still hasn't been able to order the book, but come Monday morning she's gonna read everyone the riot act and it will be prioritized at the printer and I should have my two books mid-week hopefully but certainly by the end of the week. I'll put in the order before then but it won't get processed until I've seen the two books to make sure they're fine. Then the order will be prioritized and expedited shipping - I don't have to pay for any shipping on these at all.
