There's something there, according to the ultrasound. Must have a CT scan Wednesday and follow on Monday. Doctor isn’t worried. Says I shouldn’t be either.

Listening to what will be our next release - the source tape wasn't that great, but James has done a good job sprucing it up.

I am glad the doctor isn't worried.  Vibes he is correct!

George, so you'd be on for seeing that combo preview-final dress.

I've never had a production I wrote that had a "Pay what you can" first showing. Always either a totally-free final dress, or regular price from first perf in the (admittedly not so vast) past. I have no idea if that make seats harder to get for that night, easier to get, or maybe means nothing for seat demand.

Sure, I'd love to see that and meet with the gang!

Years ago, when we lived in Germany when my dad was in the army, he did community theater and was in a local production of "The Zoo Story."  I barely remember it, but I can remember seeing him sitting on the bench while the other actor walked around a lot.

For five years, Theater Artists Olympia put on our annual "An Improbably Peck of Plays," which was pretty much what BK described:  sketches.  They were all written to be complete, and a few were over 20 minutes long, but most "plays" were 10 minutes or less.

T.O.D.

This wasn't really a play, but a short story by Evan Hunter (THE BLACKBOARD JUNGLE).  As I recall, the title was THE LAST SPIN.

Back when I was a junior in high school, my late friend, Gene Rice, discovered this short story about two teens from rival gangs who are chosen by their respective gangs to play a game of Russian roulette in order to avoid an all-out gang war.  The survivor's gang wins the territory.

The two kids start out as enemies, but as they pass the gun back and forth, they bond and, just before the final trigger is pulled, they decide to "screw the gangs".  Unfortunately the last chamber is not empty.

I adapted the short story into play form, a rather simple task, and Gene and I presented it in front of the Drama class.  It went over so well, and the teacher and school principal considered it such a good life lesson, that over the next few weeks, they brought different classes in to see our play.

We were a hit!

That's pretty cool, Druxy!

TOD 2

Both halves of Romance/Romance
Neil Simon’s Visitors from London
No Exit

How could I forget Romance/Romance??  I love that show!  And (based on the recording) 3hree, although I did see "Flight of the Lawnchair Man" on its own.  I also love the cast recording to Weird Romance: Two One-Act Musicals of Speculative Fiction. ;D

Thanks for the vibes. I’m rather numb. Which should suit me well when I go to the dentist tomorrow.

Picked up a package, worked at the piano, came up with a tune I like for a new song - duet.

And listening to the master of one of the two new releases, plus the partial tracks for the release coming after that.  I need a food break now.

I read that Harry Anderson died today.  He was only 65.  I always enjoyed him on Night Court.

On a more uplifting note, here is a video of Spencer cheering on the runners during the cold, windy Boston Marathon.  People are yelling, OMG he is so cute.

Be sure to click on the photo.
