I had a dental hygiene appointment today. A good report, but I plan to stay on an every-3-months schedule for the rest of the year. I want to monitor things a little more closely.

What a relief for you.

The tricky thing is that, aside from my gums looking rough, I had NO idea last year that I had an infection in my jaw. No pain. Nothing. But the jaw infection caused me to keep getting sick. I'm glad the dentist caught it.

Yes, thank goodness for that.  You would have expected to feel some discomfort.

Last night I spoke to a friend who lives on Hawaii's Big Island. He said they live about eighteen miles from the volcano, but they went to the other side of the island because of the bad air. I cannot imagine living as close to an active volcano as some people do (well, did).

No, you just live where there are earthquakes & fires ;)

Thanks for the report.  I don't know anyone there and have been wondering how people are doing.

I'm comfortable with earthquakes.

But my Hawaiian friend did say that their earthquakes were unsettling. Apparently, they've been VERY frequent.

This morning I found out the renewal on one of my thyroid medications was declined.  Neither the pharmacy or the doctor's office called to inform me of this  :o

I hope it's resolved by now.

I was not that quick as a very young child.  I thought thyroids were a type of hemorrhoid on the thigh.

that's funny.

In my experience, communication between the doctor's office and the pharmacy is often a nightmare.

OMG!  My friend Charlie's book was released today.  I hope it does good things for his career; it's not always been easy since he left the Bernstein office.

Looks good. And I could use a good Bernstein read. Have you read any of it?

While I'm thinking about it...

I'll be E&T tomorrow, until I get to Cincinnati in the evening. I'm hitting the road at 6:30 am. Or at least that's the plan.

And now, I need to leave for the theater.  Tonight and tomorrow are our last rehearsals without any audience.  Thursday is the (free? $5?) preview, then we open on Friday!

Be back later.

Finally back from the speaking thing and then some food.  Have to catch up on stuff now.  Also, spent two hours getting the chart and track right for our opening number.

I have read that.  Earthquakes along with an erupting volcano is very unsettling.

Vixmom, which Amish place?

It’s been years, but I’ve been to Plain & Fancy and Good & Plenty. Those were the big family style jernts then.

I don't remember ... I will give a full report tomorrow

I have had this happen in Ashland and both the pharmacy and the doctor's office called me.  I could have done the blood work last week.

Thanks.  I have two thyroid medications and I will not pick up the other one, that oddly had 3 remaining refills, until I know my meds don't need an adjustment.

Or was it Green Acres?

Apparently both and more.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hooterville

Thanks.  Fascinating level of detail!

Pennsylvania
The name Hooterville approximates Hooverville, a term used for the shantytowns that emerged during the Great Depression. But it also approximates Hooversville, Pennsylvania, a bucolic town on railroad tracks in western Pennsylvania. Also, characters on Green Acres make trips to and from New York City on an occasional basis and appear to make the round trip in a day's time.

That reminds me. I must get back to work on "My Dead Aunt Thanks You" or at least take notes for it.

Watching The Disaster Artist. Ouch. It's not any better than The Room was. And everybody is in it. Melanie Griffith, Tina Fey, you name it.

Loved some of the images from the Met Gala, which I usually don't care about.

The latest choice of the office book club is slasher comedy called Final Girls by Riley Sager.

Very different from Everybody Lies and Snow Crasher, our previous selections.

Found out today the great actor and director Norman Lloyd is still alive at age 103 and recently made an appearance at an screening of an early movie. That's wonderful. Always loved him in St. Elsewhere.
