Tuesday morning after a good nights sleep and ani e hot shower I had steak and eggs for breakfast. And it was lovely

And now, I'm off. I'm going to my sister's to put up a decorative spider web and Halloween lights, and a spice rack in the kitchen. She has a mattress topper that she doesn't want, so if I like it, I can have it. I do like the one that I have, but I've had it since I moved into my place 12 years ago...actually, this Sunday the 14th will be my 12th anniversary of me moving into my place! Anyway, I'll see what it's like and if I like it.

Great series and casting. Doesn't give me a single urge to read the novels but I'd certainly watch it all again.

The mini-series is both true to the novels and yet very different. Glencora is much more developed in the TV version than she is in the books, yet both are remarkable portrayals of a moneyed woman in 19th century England who does her duty by marrying for money and later finds something that could be love.

I'm kinda PO'd. I had gotten a copy of Travels with My Aunt from the library, starring an over-the-top Maggie Smith and co-starring BK's personal friend, Cindy Williams, and the disc isn't playing properly. I'll have to see if it plays in the laptop.

After reading about Vixmom's horrible motel experience and being reminded of some of mine, I thought I deserved a treat. The ChocZero chocolate bars that DR George has mentioned arrived today and I gave one a try. This was the milk chocolate with hazelnuts. We know that Jane wouldn't like it, but I found it very good indeed. You really wouldn't know that there's no sugar in it. It's nicely sweet, not overdone, but not a fake sweet. Just plain good. I recommend them. Unfortunately, the company doesn't offer a sampler. Available on Amazon or directly from choczero.com.

I will and probably take out some of the ice cream. That is if they aren't too hard for me to cut.
