Yes, both Nona and her husband Dan were very energetic. Both had a quick wit. Nona also had a wicked sense of humor and that mischievous glint in her eye.

My housemate was affected by Nona's death, as well. She was a counselor and Leanne, my housemate's ladyfriend, had been one of her clients for eight years.

I shall now take a little break from writing. I've been going back and making lots of additions to the two sections I've been working on this week. I knew they weren't quite right yet, and this morning I put my finger on at least one of the problems and the additions, I must say, are making these sections come to life and they're now working much better. Hoo and ray.

I just found an old Captain and Tennille record, I think I recieved it as a gift when I was 8 years old, it's pretty scratched. It's sad it hasn't been released on CD.

I am enjoying the choices for unlikely casts for Bye Bye Birdie. MCC Theater holds an annual spring gala benefit called "MISCAST" where Broadway stars sing roles in which they would never be cast. Last year, Karen Ziemba sang "All I Need Is The Girl" from Gypsy, Raul Esparza sang "The Worst Pies in London" from Sweeney Todd,Norbert Leo Butz sang "Little Girls" from Annie, and Emily Skinner sang "Big Black Man" from The Full Monty. In other years, Patti LuPone sang "Trouble" from The Music Man, and in an ironic note, Kristen Chenowith and Harvey Fierstein sang the duet "Do You Love Me?" from Fiddler.
This year's benefit is on Monday,March 14th.

Alas, alack, I did not get my dim sum wish.

Instead, a group of us went to the Oakland Art Museum's cafe and had meat loaf, rosemary roasted potatoes (w/roasted garlic added today), and salad.

It's one of my favorite meals, so I am not bitte.

While bored during the Super Bowl, my friend showed me a game he has for his GameCube. It is called Donkey Bongo. Instead of a joystick, it has a pair of bongos you hook up to the game system. Then it plays a song, and it can be any type of song, Tchaikovsky, doo-wop, B-52s, what have you. You have to play along and hit the bongos where noted and in the way it says. Right bongo, left bongo, both, do a roll... It even has a sound sensor because you are supposed to clap sometimes. Now this all sounds very easy, but it is actually quite difficult, and I have a good sense of rhythm.

Anyways, that's my recent bongo experience.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friends, George. That is so sad.

Right now, I am taking a break from typing my finished History paper. I spent longer fussing about having to write it than I actually spent writing it. I get to start all over again with the other paper. Can you tell I am very excited?
