Finished a fun Vaughan Williams opera thing, Hugh the Drover. Now listening to a Holst choral piece that's pretty gorgeous - the Hymn of Jesus. Whilst listening I did the blurbs and finished the fifth set of liner notes and that just leaves some track info for that set.

Today, we have a 6 1/2 hour rehearsal scheduled. We'll get a half hour break in there. I don't know how long I'll need to be there, but I won't need to be there the whole time. We're supposed to have a costume parade then run (most of?) the show (without costumes). Then they'll let some of go because a lot of the scenes are just with the family and kids, and the adult chorus members aren't needed for those scenes.

Whenever I get to leave, I'll go to my sister's because my cousin and his wife are up visiting from Oregon. That'll be fun.

I would swear it was less than 30 degrees F in the apartment around 3:15 this morning. Annabelle crawled under the blankets to get warn. I dragged Thatch in for a bit, but I believe my little boy is an alpha male cat who prefers to challenge me for control. I think he liked the warmth but didn't really care for my pushing it. His coat is longer than Annabelle's and he seems happy lying on top of the blankets next to me, although once he'ds relaxed and asleep, he crawls as close to me as he can.

After I went back to bed this morning, he finished his breakfast, jumped onto my bed, and then proceeded to crawl under the blankets and explore the terrain on his own terms. Then he crawled out, leaped around the bed and went off to play. Annabelle retired to her washtub for another 4-6 hours of sleep.

I have to clean the litter now, patrol with Annabelle, and then settle in for a day of writing. I'd like to get the major parameters of this arrangement laid out. I want to finish it as soon as possible, since I need to do some NYPL research before I begin the second one.
