So at work, several of us just got a second monitor.  Why?  I don't know, but we have them.  We could've refused them (a few people did), but I figure, why not.  I'll try it out for a while and see how it goes.  Anyway, here is my new setup:

I didn't realize how many keychains you have at work.  Would you like a Silversea keychain?

Let us know how you like having two monitors.

I would love ANY keychain from Jane! (I'm a poet and didn't know it. ;) ) Thanks!  And I think it's going to take a little time to get used to two monitors.  Ask me again in a couple of months and I'll let you know.

This interested me that this was a big thing, that Kim Cattrall said that she and her "Sex and the City" co-stars were colleagues, but not friends.

I have never been on a cruise. If i did one, I'd do an Alaskan one. But I'm so afraid of running up the on-board bill that i would be afraid to go on a cruise.

I don't think of you as a shopper so I don't think that would happen.  The salon is expensive, massages & hair styling, etc.   I think the biggest onboard expense can be drinks and the extra restaurants that charge.  Alaska is a shorter cruise so maybe one extra restaurant as a treat and the rest is included.  You can buy a drink package but we don't drink enough soda to make it worth the price and since I am fussy, the alcohol options are not what I want.  We only order one drink a day.  You can figure out what the cost might be before booking a trip.  If you like wine, instead of ordering by the glass there is usually an option to purchase a bottle and then request it wherever you are dining.

The big extra expense is the tours.  For Alaska you would want to go on at least one hike.  Even then you could just stay in the towns and save money.

If I could say any cruise it would be Alaska.

Awww, wonderful.

He was very hot and very tired, which might have something to do with it.

We went to our usual place for dinner tonight.  Aside from our wonderful waitress, two other waitresses stopped to say hello.  Two managers stopped plus the bar manager delivered my drink and sat to chat with Keith about his Manhattan.  They are now stocking the good cherries for him and will soon be getting in a better Vermouth.  They like to keep their regulars happy :)

He said the included meal was half a ham and cheese sandwich and a bottle of water.

That is shocking unless it was mentioned up front.

He doesn’t eat cheese of any kind, so I would imagine he was disappointed.

Also, he is diabetic, so he has to be very careful of how he balances his meals.

I would say you are correct.  It is important to remember that any beverage, other than coffee, tea, or milk at meals is going to cost you.  I don’t mind the tap water onboard, but a lot of people can’t drink it, so they end up buying the bottled water, which really adds up.

Also, most of the soda packages give you unlimited soda on tap (not cans) from the various bars.  That can be a pain if you want to keep soda in your cabin.

Did he mention that when he booked the tour?

If you want the world's worst food for a diabetic, then tell people you travel with are diabetic. It will likely send a person into a carb coma.

The America Diabetes Association board apparently has reps from seven or eight insulin producers on it. And they seem hellbent on protecting their own interests.

The concert was great. I forgot about Ventura Highway, This Is for All the Lonely People and I Need You as hits of theirs. Pure nostalgia.
