Annabelle's nose was clogged again this morning. I washed the gunk out with warm water and a cotton ball, but she wouldn't eat her breakfast. She's being very affectionate, with lots of purrs, wanting to be held, and fluffing out the base of her tail.

Now Thatch is demanding attention and showing affection: he's grabbing my knee to be petted, butting my hand, nipping at my fingers and licking them, and rolling around the floor to get his tummy rubbed. I've been calling him my guardian angel because he follows me to the bathroom when I get up in the middle of the night and then leads me back to my bed, where he jumps up to sleep next to me after I've climbed back in. Yet, if I make a move to put my hands around him or to hold him, he ruins in terror.

I'm happy to know that with all of our sturm und drang last year, we've reached such a positive place.
