I will leave here this morning between 9:00 and 9:15 for 27th Street, my old home, to see my accountant, whose office is next door to Toyland. His office was 1003A and Toyland was 1003B. They tell me the new tenants are nice but we were noisier and more fun. I will sign my tax forms to be submitted electronically and pay them, then head up to City Center to begin my latest round of work with Joshie on Act Two of I Married an Angel.

Before I step out I must call my HMO. There's something fishy going on. I mailed a payment on Jan. 19, and it's never cleared the bank. I mailed a payment on Jan. 31, and that has not cleared either. In the past I've seen payments clear three days after posting so what's going on? I could blame the cold vortex for one of them but not for both!

Here's a title: "What I Ate Last Night"

The last of the Cincinnati chili. It was a wistful moment when I opened the cupboard and saw that it would be bare once I removed the last can, which happened to be Gold Star. (I bring back equal amounts of Skyline and Gold Star.) I heated it up tenderly, lovingly, and it was thoroughly delicious. But it also makes great leftovers, and since I stopped at one plate last night, there's a serving in the fridge which will be today's lunch. And that's it until I get over there again in late spring / early summer.
