Here’s a Sunday question for the class:

What type of alarm clock or other device do you use?

Mine is an older, probably 1980s-vintage clock radio, a type I’ve always been comfortable with except for one feature, and that’s the fact that the time setting buttons are completely unguarded; i.e., you (or, let’s say, a cat) can accidentally change the current time setting at any time. If the design of these had included something else you had to hold down to change the time, like when you set the alarm, it would be perfect.

Most days I don’t have to set any alarm. (The cats come with an automatic person getter upper that is pretty much undefeatable.) But when I do, it’s the clock radio set to NPR, backed up by the iPhone set to five minutes later.

I use my cell phone these days

I can see this time display in the dark and without my glasses on if I squint just the right way.

I can see the time on my cell phone in the dark without my glasses if I hold it three inches from my face

DR JEANNE my cousin uses the Zilis Ultra Cell Full Spectrum Hemp Oil.....but it isn't topical, you drink it.  But the company may have other products....for pain, etc.

Here's the website, they do have a topical ointment.

DR DRUXY I saw the end of SALLY and thought pretty much the same thing you did.

Her toe dancing was bad and her turns were lopsided....maybe onstage she was much better......  The static direction didn't help any....but after all it was 1929!

As usual, I was the first to arrive, started the coffee pots, set the altar for communion and was pleased to receive volunteers to handle serving at coffeehour

Yesterday before I took the girls to the concert, we watched a fairly new version of The Miracle Worker on Youtube.

Then I dropped the girls off downtown, and they saw a performance of Star Wars with the symphony orchestra playing the music.

So last night we saw Cher.  She was terrific!  I think I enjoyed the show even better than her last show, which I saw just about two years ago.  She's one-of-a-kind.

Occasionally one or the other of you u mentions having  unauthorized film of a live Broadway performance.

Would anyone know where one might find such a thing specifically the NY Cast of Lazarus?  I know it was filmed and the film was shown last year in Brooklyn, one night only, but the promised blu ray has not  materialized....

I have an old clock radio (from my employment days), but I have only used the alarm twice in the past seven years.  It doesn't tell time very well.  I keep saying I am going to buy an atomic clock, but I never do.

I just applied for adoption of the beautiful Mia and then sent the agency a message that she deserved better than me; I was too old, and she needed an active loving family.  It breaks my heart, but it was the right thing to do.

It was and I wish it wasn't.

DR elmore I know you want to adopt a dog, and it would be wonderful.  Please don't forget about the vet bills.  What if the cost of a dog kept you from being able to afford necessary treatment for Annabelle & Thatch.

When we couldn't afford the pet bills we basically went without food in order to pay them.  I remember baking bread and taking it for lunch at work.

We also had family near by to feed us occasionally.
