Watching Under the Volcano and not drinking through it, which is kind of hard. The story takes place over the course of one day. If one tried to keep up with the volume Albert Finney drinks in this movie, even over two or four days, one would be seriously pickled.

I've started getting ready for the trip. I packed a few books and a cookbook. I'm trying to think of cooking stuff I have to take, like olive oil and salt, cinnamon, tomatillos from the garden, a couple of good knives.
