Move money around at the bank

Is it any wonder why some cultures drown the female babies!

Because they don't want things done?

Back from a breakfast burrito and picking up one package - from the Darling Daughter for Father's Day.  It's a little figuring with a bouncing head that's a replica of me, opening his shirt to reveal a Superman "S".  Her card said that I've always been a Superman to her.

Wow, what a wonderful gift. It is perfect :)

I never thought of such a thing DR JANE, but of course they would sit much lower in the water.....never entered my mind.  But then again I don't see many boats on land.

So far this is our third sighting of a boat on land.  I was surprised last time how much shorter the large yacht looked after it was in the water.

While it is sad the yacht company is leaving us I hope to see ships in the future as the military will be building on there instead.

Set up the church for this weekends services

Can you not ask someone else to do this?  You have too much to do already.

The woman who is sharing duties with me this month and covering completely while I am away has a son being married next month.  This Saturday is her future daughter in laws wedding shower

Darn.  It seems someone could step up for both of you.

The extremely young woman who gave us our vaccinations today but be new to the job.  It was an interesting experience.  She slowing marked the spot to use the alcohol wipe on, then slowly used the wipe, then tapped lightly a few times with the needle before slowly pushing it in.  It was actually very gentle and seemed easy, until the liquid slowly made our arms hurt.  Unusual was that they liquid continued to increase in pain for a while before stopping.

For several hours we had no pain at all and then began to feel it.  Just the usual sore arm pain after a vaccination.  We have had worse.

So far that is the only reaction.  Fingers crossed there isn't a true reaction as others have had.

I do have a little headache, but then our favorite bar tender at Beaches was making the drinks so I joined Keith & had a Rye Manhattan.  It was delicious.

I brought in quite a few homegrown DVD things, including the never-released Jersey Men show with Kevin Spirtas and Sean McDermott.  I may YouTube a couple of clips if I can figure out how to make clips.

Then I watched the 1954 Academy Awards - folks, they used to know how to do that show really well and amusingly the entire thing, allowing for the six commercial breaks, lasted well under two hours.

And then I watched the beautiful DVD former dear reader Amy made with all of you dear, dear people out there in the dark - my 60th birthday DVD.  It was really emotional, I have to say, due to all the loss that's represented in that video - not only the loss of the departed shown in stills and present in voice - Kerry, Nick Redman, Susan Gordon - but the loss of so many dear readers in this past eleven years, and that includes dear Edisaurus, Jeffrey Kauffman, Cillaliz, Singdaw, MattH, dear reader Sandra, Lyn, Jose, Noel, Rodzinski, Ann and Jed, der Brucer, Cason and him mom, Karen, Pogue, and on and on and on. Some decided Facebook was somehow a better home than here, some ran away for reasons that still elude me, some for political reasons (unnecessary), and some for reasons unknown.  Thankfully, we've gotten wonderful new dear readers, and thankfully we've still got many of our original group, but I miss some of those folks.  Since my 70th came and went without much ado, perhaps sometime before my 80th, should I be so lucky as to make that number, we can have a little haineshisway.com reunion and get these people back where they belong.  Facebook, in case you haven't noticed, is a cesspool.  Facebook itself is disgusting in the way they manipulate everything, but it's all political, it's all fake, it's all memes, it's all BS all the time.  Here we have genuine camaraderie, oh, yes, here we have genuine camaraderie.

Well, Jane just reached a millstone!  I'm sorry that I wasn't here to capture the moment when she was on-line, but here is the after-the-fact moment:

And, through a bit of computer wizardry, here's what the moment would've looked like at the actual moment. ;)

Congrats to Jane on your millstone.

Ushered tonight for a community theater production of a play that was better written than staged. The name doesn't matter. It's a locally written show about an liberal couple (a man played the wife, but we never found out if she were a man or a woman) entertaining a conservative couple for dinner. Their kids may be getting married. A comet or asteroid could be hitting earth. So, they discuss things like dadaism and alcoholism among dentists, the moral code of the universe with or without God, and fake red pistachios. Plus, the liberal couple had an audience watching their every move, so the fourth wall was broken more than once. It was fairly funny, but not all of the actors were up to the demands of the script.

Starting to watch a movie called Blaze about the country songwriter Blaze Foley. Ethan Hawke directed. It was not well-received in Austin because it's apparently as fictional as most biopics. So far, the best thing about it is Alia Shawkat from Arrested Development.
