Back in the day, not only did I write a book, ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD, but my son, David, and I also wrote a song.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5R-YXBFLvjQ

That's pretty cool, Druxy.  I wonder why Quentin Tarantino didn't use it.

;)

I honestly have no idea if my book had anything to do with it, but a month or two ago, Tarantino's movie title was changed from ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD to ONCE UPON A TIME IN...HOLLYWOOD.

Interesting.

Back from taking the fix list and a book to the audio place.  Got there fine, but on the way back the car began to make some funny noises - after laughing - I got worried, but it stopped after about two minutes.

Continued car vibes!

BK mentioned my audio proof of GEE. It was really a lot of fun to listen to. Diana Canova did a wonderful job, finding more humor in the book than I remembered and letting its heart shine. I really think listeners will enjoy it.

DR VIXMOM that is true.  However since I had just met him and he was new to the group - I thought I would wait until he got back from Hawaii before I asked him to take off his shirt.

I did however tell him at which point he would be coming onstage without his shirt and he mimed it.....

The problem is of course the microphone pak and wire....so he will probably just be shirtless for that one brief scene and wear a tank top t-shirt for the other scene....

We went to Beaches where the bar tender began making our drinks when she saw us walk by as we were being seated :)

The somewhat new bar tender accidentally order shrimp on my salad instead of salmon.  I never order shrimp.  We were fine and he admitted his mistake, something this restaurant is quick to do & we appreciate.  To make up for it he gave us/me a bag of their caramel corn.  I am going to be good and not open it.  I will save it for our neighbor who will enjoy it.

The bar tender was very generous with my bourbon.  Keith said his Manhattan was excellent.  As much as I enjoy them, when they are made correctly, they have additional sugar than straight bourbon or scotch, my usual drinks.  I also get high faster on them and I don't need to do that.

DR TCB when you order groceries delivered do they automatically substitute a product if they are out of it?  I had read that happens & you are required to accept it.

I went out for a veggie burger at lunchtime. Last week when I was there my order, a take-out order, was incorrect and I didn't discover it until I got home. I mentioned it today and the manager gave me today's meal free. Like Jane's Beaches restaurant, this one makes few mistakes and is very good about it when they do. That's one of the reasons why I'm a regular.

The new Hal is quite attractive and looks much more mature than his years. I hope that that is indeed the case and Jrand is pleased with him.

It just tasted like a regular thin crust pizza

I like them.

John G, would you say that it tastes just like a regular--whatever that is--pizza crust?

Not really. But it didn't taste like cauliflower either. I had one with a four cheese topping and the other day I tried a slice with sausage and cheese. On both, the flavor worked in with everything else.
