As soon as I finish this coffee and take care of the litter, I am catching a bus down to Music Theatre International to pick up my How To Succeed . . . check.  I spent part of yesterday afternoon writing checks, which I will post as soon as the check has been deposited.

And I am once again a poor penniless bum!

This afternoon, a bit of movie going pleasure will be had when I go back to the Bedford Playhouse to see the new Tarantino flick in what is, so far, an empty theater with but two other people besides me having bought tickets. I'm sure there will be more, but it's strange to see that because this evening's showing has been sold out for the past few days.

Afternoon showings are great, though, and I should take advantage of them more often.

DR vixmom, that damned property will most likely be the thing that kills me.  I don't think it will ever sell.

Annabelle needs the vet again, so there goes the remainder of my How To Succeed .  .  .  money.  I'm so glad that Thatch, except for his bad heart, and Stella are healthy.

I got in yesterday's mail my referrals to an allergist and ENT surgeon, so I need to book appointments when I return.

We need a miracle here.
Of course I need a few of my own, too. And don't we all. But this one's priority.  :)

Perhaps Ginny can go plant a St. Anthony on the property. Isn’t that the one who is supposed to help sales?

Listening to The Prom. Some bad, forced rhymes (jocks, works) but I like the music.

Day 2 without my Mac.

Nothing good on TV.

The paint on the wall is starting to look interesting.

LOL  Do you have a book to read?

T.O.D.

I don't recall how long it was, but back in the 1980s, I'd walk/jog around the lake at Calabasas Park a couple times a week.

That would have been a good walk.

TOD

When I was in high school I spent a summer in Barcelona. Bookending the trip were a few side trips to London and Paris. I had no money in Paris but I wanted to see the city, so I walked everywhere for five days until my legs were sore, sore, sore. But I saw a lot of that city. Loved every step I took.

We have done the same.  I am guessing you walked close to 12 miles each day.  It could have been much more if you didn't take breaks.

When I was a teenager I participated in the March of Dimes Walkathon for several years.  That was 20 miles.

You walked 20 miles in one day  :o  I didn't know any Walkathons were that long.

I thought it was St. Joseph, but I am not an expert in the field.

When I was in the hospital for my appendectomy at age eight, the lovely nurse we'd gotten to know a little bit from her frequent presence in my hospital room gave me a little St. (Somebody) medal as good luck on the morning of my surgery. I kept it for quite a long time afterward, and I'm sorry to say it's been gone for many years.

I have this memory of her putting it in my hand on our way up to surgery, but that's probably not accurate. I also "recall" that she was Amish -- though that doesn't seem right, either, as I'm not sure they would have taken jobs in the cities. But maybe care-giving jobs? Or maybe she was Mennonite? Oh well, what do I know? Not much, obviously.

Anyway, all of this was to say I don't even remember the name of the damned saint.  :)

DR JRand68 sent me a St Joseph statue years ago and my sister-in-law JoAnn buried it on the property.  That saint hasn't done a thing for us.
