As for groceries, in the Northwest, all of our major grocery chains (Safeway, Albertsons, Fred Meyer, etc.) offer grocery delivery. And if we have it in Washington state, I am sure you have it in L.A. The prices are the same as in the store, and usually the first delivery is free.

Topic of the Day: in high school, I did the 10-mile C.R.O.P. Walk; and after college, I did several local A.I.D.S. fund-raising walks that were anywhere from five to ten miles long. One year, then Miss America Kate Shindle came to one of the walks and I got her autograph on a walk t-shirt! I still have that.

And for several years, I was on a Relay-For-Life team at work where we walked for 24 hours (well, at least one person on our team was on the track at all times) to raise money for breast cancer research.

Just walking on my own, I think the longest that I've walked at one time is a little over four miles.

Today, I have a meeting with a vendor rep and one of our selectors. However, the selector has been out sick a couple of days this week. Hopefully, she'll be well enough to be at the meeting. If not, I don't really know what the meeting's about...only that I was asked to be there.

When I was in high school I spent a summer in Barcelona. Bookending the trip were a few side trips to London and Paris. I had no money in Paris but I wanted to see the city, so I walked everywhere for five days until my legs were sore, sore, sore. But I saw a lot of that city. Loved every step I took.

BK, if you decide to buy anew car Vixdad absolutely loves his Nissan Altima . We bought it from a Hertz outlet where they sold used rental cars. All the cars were no more than a year old ( he got a 2018 last September) and the price was very reasonable.
