To answer George’s question from last night:

Yes, I am feeling fine, thank you.

LE MIZ was enjoyable.  I’ll be damned if I could figure what might have been cut or edited from the regular show.  It all seemed to be present and accounted for.

Some of the performances were better than others.  Javert was fantastic!  Too bad he wasn’t Jean Valjean.

Some of the casting choices seemed a bit strange, but most of these kids have been involved with this theater training program, so perhaps they try to balance out who has leads vs. who plays ensemble.

But I guess I might as well try to get some sleep instead of just sitting here talking to myself.

Today, I'll be volunteering down at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts.  They don't have an event today.  They're going to film a new volunteer orientaion film and I'm going to be part of it. :)

A long long time ago, they (whoever "they" are) used to sarcastically  refer to musicals based on "Les Miz" with young people as "Junior Miz" - but at some point, "Junior Miz" became a term of affection rather than making fun.

About "Moron Day" - there's a TV show on New York One, which is called "Onstage."  And the announcer would saying "We'll be back with more Onstage after this message" But the announcement was somehow recorded sounding like "We'll be back with Moron Stage after this message."

I think when people started making fun of it on chat areas, they decided that at least that means people are watching, why change it?  :)

Stella is working my last nerve this morning.  If she were a child, I would have a ritalin prescription for her.

I have some weekend work in the apartment.  The building is a mess with no super, my neighbor Judy claims there are rats in the building, and I've got a roach problem that's getting worse; I can only blame it on the lack of a building exterminator at the present time and the fact that the pet-safe pesticide I'm using is doing nothing.

I wonder if they've been using pesticide that's also insect-safe.

As to the rats, I believe it's because the "temporary super" who's never here and who sends young immigrants to the building to clean up things on what appears to be his whim, is leaving the outside basement door unlocked and open at all hours of the day.  The landlord is letting this building go to hell.

Our last really good super was Val, and he left because the cheap shits wouldn't even pay him vacation pay.

So, I have to deal with the bugs this weekend, continue pulling books, prepare some things for the Miami University collection, and pray that someone sends me some work.

Joshie and I are beginning an Encores! project on Tuesday, but it will be a long process that will not generate enough weekly money to pay my bills.  On Monday I have to take Annabelle to the vet, and I hope I can get through it on less than $180, since that's all I have to my name until Social Security lands on Wednesday.

Ten years ago, I never thought I would end up in such a miserable level of poverty.  I was convinced I would work till I die.  Now I think it's the lack of work that will kill me.

KISMET.....I like how all the men have to duck to get through the doors because they have these little towers on the top of their hats....I finally started to watch for it - that amused me for a lot of the running time.

I like Night of My Nights.....but not much else.

One thing that really bugged me about Once Upon A Time...In Hollywood was that they were shooting "Lancer" and other shows on a Sunday....

Did television shows shoot regularly on Sunday?  MR BK would know.
