BADGE OF HONOR

Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a badge and no honor, and now it is time for you to post until the honorable cows come home - they tried an impossible burger and spit it out.

Topic of the Day:  for the most part, cashews are my favorites.

After that, I really like (in no particular order):  pecans, peanuts, walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, and cocoanuts.  Those are what I can think of now.

And now, I need to be going.  I need to get up earlier than usual and run some errands before work.

Have a good day, all!

Almonds, peanuts, hazelnuts, and oceans are my favorites but I have never met a nut I didn’t like

Well I was wandering around Manhattan on Sunday as well.

Too bad we didn’t coordinate; Kevin, Michael and I could have had a mini HHW meetup with FJL and Elmore

I quite enjoyed it. I saw the movie years ago (I remember renting the VHS from Blockbuster so that gives you some idea of how long ago it was)

It’s McBeth set in Pennsylvania in the 1970’s, and rather than a kingdom it’s a burger joint.

It was really fun and I recommend it.

Then I met a friend at the Flame diner for dinner and then she and I headed downtown to the Mercury Lounge for an evening watching bands play.

Yesterday, I proofread "You Did It," Eliza's reprise of "Just You Wait," Freddy's reprise of "On The Street Where You Live," and "Show Me."  Joshie is doing quite a beautiful job, and I wish I could be at the band rehearsal in two weeks to hear it.

So, he and I are caught up, and I will go in tomorrow to look over "Get Me To the Church" and the Flower Market ("Wouldn't It Be Loverly") scene before it.

So, this morning I will watch the impeachment hearings and maybe finish my choral piece.  I do have as well a couple of important phone calls to make.

I'm very excited about the Dec. 6 release of the Encores! cast recording of "The New Yorkers''!

Here's a live performance from 2017.

I have NOT partaken of the chicken sandwich craze.

I'll be more than happy to try the Popeye's at some point when it's no big deal to pull in and get one. Actually, in my area, that may be possible right now. I have no idea if our lone Popeye's is still being inundated with these crowds.

It's funny, because we never had a Popeye's here until a couple of years ago. The closest ones were in NYC or out in NY state somewhere, and because of that I'd only ever had a couple of pieces of their chicken. I do find it good, and I enjoy the Cajun-influenced sides, etc. But it's not located near enough to me that I think about it often, and I don't think they'll ever be the only game in town.
