Instead, I am listening in to a meeting that sounds like it’s under water.

Started watching a movie at lunch called Wild Rose, about a Scottish woman country singer ex-con. As Scottish woman country singer ex-con flicks go, I’m really enjoying it. Julie Walters plays the mom. And the star, Jessie Buckley, has a rich, full voice.

I had to answer e-mails quickly and then be on my way to the working lunch.  The working part was fine, the lunch was just about the worst ever - The Counter.  Perhaps it's unfair to judge since I didn't have a burger, but I had their beef chili, which was way too spicy and frequently nauseating, and their crispy onion strings, which were okay but ultimately nauseating - I ate half the chili and could stomach no more.  Never again.

Then I went to the mail place and picked up a couple of packages.  Now I'm home, listening to music and relaxing.

How old is Taj Mahal, George? I love his music.

He's 77 years old!  Who'da thunk it?

No Creature comfort in Texas.

Nor in Tumwater. :(

While at the hairdresser yesterday I watched another "interesting" color session. A very attractive woman in her sixties had her base color lightened to a platinum blonde, the the tips randomly tinted pink--bright pink. When it was done she turned to me and said, "Trippy, isn't it?" Trying to think of something positive to say, I told her it was very distinctive. Which it was. I cannot think why she wanted these colors.

And now, I must be off to the comedy competition.  I'm sure that it'll be funny...and possible interesting. ;D

Be back later.

DR George, I am watching the musicals on PBS streaming. Can I let you know in a few weeks if I'd like a copy of any of them? You're recording all of them for yourself, anyway?

sorry you had a bad experience. The Counter near me does a very good job. They have a different owner from the one in Studio City. They have a turkey chili that is very popular.
