I am absolutely disgusted at the weather forecasts for Sunday and Monday. They’re not even sure what this area will get, but whatever the type of precip or the mix turns out to be, it couldn’t come at a worse time. It’s our tech week, the cleanup could be difficult depending on what comes down, I’ve got a dental appointment that’s tough to reschedule ... and you name it.

I enjoyed reading about everyone's shenanigans yesterday.....

Today is another quiet day for me.  It's nice doing theatre six months each year....and having the other six months be theatre free....

Former DR JMK sent me the link to some HORRIFYING news....it seems that Deb Messing (the self proclaimed NEW Lucille Ball) and her cast mates are recreating some classic I Love Lucy episodes for a spring show.....

As I have said before - Deb Messing isn't even the NEW Marjorie Lord, although after she speaks, she pulls the corners of her mouth down like Marjorie always did because she's just so DAMNED funny and can't help breaking herself up.....

Oh, and Marjorie was beautiful.

George, I have found with the cheesecakes that I have made, people say they taste better if they sit for a couple of days before cutting into them. Do you have any leftovers? You could see if there’s any difference.

We had a nice Thanksgiving get-together yesterday with my son, his lady and her family.

Nice to finally have family here in Austin.

I was wondering if you were enjoying the day with your son.  I wish Bryan could move back to Portland.

DR George I think your cheesecake just needed to set longer.   How much sour cream is used for the topping?  Is there any in the cake aside from the toppjng.

Thank you again for the birthday wishes.  I should have the common sense to dine out on Thanksgiving when it falls on my birthday!  The work was worth it, though:  leek/potato soup, a fabulous bird, baked yams, green beans & almonds, amazing mashed potatoes (for kids who hate yams), watercress salad, cheeses, pecan, apple, pumpkin pies, cookies and Ferrero Rochet.  A splendid time had by all.   My daughter Mia flew in a 1 p.m., but her twin Alexa was not at Thanksgiving with us--- that was a first in 18 years--- but we Facetimed and that was great.  She'll be home in 2 weeks.

Hope everyone had a lovely holiday and sorry for bad weather affecting Chaz.  It sounds like Ginny had a great NYC getaway.

And I want to know what BK thought of "Joker" --- Joaquin Phoenix is an excellent actor but I had a hard time sitting through this film.

There is something to be said for a quiet Thanksgiving at home when you don't feel great, I lost a pound instead of gaining a few.

Usually I do not remember my dreams but there was one that involved being in an airport with my best friend and her daughter

We were standing on moving walkways bringing us to our gates, I glanced down in my purse to be sure I had my boarding pass and when I looked up I had been merged onto a different belt than my companions and was several floors below them although I could still see them

Apparently, dear reader Leslie doesn't read the notes, or she would know what I thought of Joker AND Mr. Phoenix.

I also  stopped at the grocery and the pharmacy but there was nothing particularly blackFridayish about those ventures
