Well, you've read the notes, the notes came to dinner, and now it is time for you to post until the dining cows come home.

Not yet.  I wanted to watch the theatrical version first and since that didn't work, I watched some TV that I had recorded.  And with my cold, I can't concentrate too much, so I think I'll watch one of the versions online when I'm feeling more coherent.

From last night:
It was very strange.

Yes, it was.  Stephen Colbert said that his show was very funny, though.  I'll have to take his word for it, though.

A very early one for me, because I’m going to the car place to have my snow tires put on.

That new pain killer is very effective, but the additional drug played tricks on my mind.  I turned off the lights just after 9:00, slept very soundly, and when I woke from the sounds of the neighbor above me moving about, I thought, she's been out late.  I checked the clock: 11:48.

I would have sworn I'd been sleeping longer than that.  I also had strange dreams that I cannot now remember.

I saw no signs of the ceiling leak yesterday afternoon or evening, so I'm wondering if the plumber was in yesterday morning to take care of it while I was in therapy.

I'm hoping tomorrow morning to schlep down to Seventh Avenue and 27th Street.  We'll see how I feel.

Gabapentin is something I only know from a use prescribed by vets, to calm (or more literally, to “stone”) cats for their appointment. And it does. Poe gets one early in the morning when we’re going in for an exam or bloodwork, and he’s loopy the rest of the day.

The doctor told me to begin with one tablet at night and gradually add a second, before going to three a day, the max. I'm not sure I'll ever go that high, but it sure helped last night.

I have no plans today.  I have some tidy up and some things to go to the basement. After that, who knows?

I would not go outside in shoes if there is any snow on the streets. I don't want to kill myself. I walk through parking lots and on the streets. IT would not be very safe even with 3+ cms.

T.O.D.

Growing up, I liked Frankie Laine ("Cool Water")...Gogi Grant ("The Wayward Wind")...and, I loved Robert Mitchum's "Thunder Road".

Also, Phil Harris' "The Thing".

Back - with the snow tires on. Which only ran me ten bucks (because I’d bought them there), and that’s good. But also, with estimates for future repair work which... how shall we put it?... is less good. Like, way less.

I can think about it tomorrow. Tomorrow is another day.
