I had to make a quick run over to my bank, and remembered just in time to make the Saturday noon closing of the drive-thru. Pulled in there at 11:45, and instead of being second or third in line as is used to be typical, the line was halfway around the building. There had to be more like fifteen cars there. I got to the window and did my business at 12:02 and it looked like they would definitely take the few still behind me. But wow. Nathan has to make deposits for his company and he says it's like that every day now. Well, I have received my education.

My sister and I have been harvesting the hay.....well....I mean mowing the front/side lawn and the back yard. 90 minutes.....she is doing the weed eating now.....

Went to a seafood market overrun with people. Got in and out quickly with some flounder for tomorrow and some fresh shrimp. It was good to start up the car.

I came home and harvest a half-gallon of loquats. I’ll have to work them up later. Thinking of loquat-strawberry pie.

Back from a drive - lowest gas price in the City of Studio? A new low of 3.65. Lowest price two miles away in the Oaks of Sherman? 2.99. First time under three bucks in years and years. The Studio City stations sit completely empty and I hope their gouging puts them out of business - there is zero excuse for it other than they think they can get away with it. At the 2.99 station - filled up with cars filling up.

Just had the BEST lunch - delivery from Islands and my first burger in a month - actually, the first meat in a month unless you count the one-time Taco Bell visit, which really isn't meat. Big Wave with cheese and fries. So good.

I'm peeling loquats while watching Mountains of the Moon, a movie I was always interested in seeing. So far (about an hour in), it's excellent. Incredible vistas, fine performances and one super scary scene of beetles crawling all over the place including in someone's ear.
