Food has been consumed.  I decided on Kentucky Fried Chicken because Popeye's only has "meals" to go and I don't do that.  I ordered one breast, crispy, and a chicken sandwich, corn and cole slaw.  The sandwich was edible - that's the best I can say, the breast wasn't as good as Popeye's and I only ate half, the corn was fine but I couldn't finish it, and the cole slaw was just as I remembered it, pretty good.  Don't need to order from there ever again, however.

IJSH that The Women is on TCM tonight at 10:45 pm. EST if anyone who has never seen it wants to give it a look.

Ooh I never saw it either.  Wonder if I’ll be able to wrest the remote from vixdad

I am back from my first foray to -- what's it called again? -- oh, a "store"! -- in three to four weeks. Other than this, I've been to Cat Clinic for curbside pickup and to the bank drive-thru where I have them bring my money out in a wheelbarrow.

My my...last time I visited I needed a magnifying glass to see mine

Then on to the big stop o' the day, Shop Rite, where I'd intended to pick up maybe 14 or 15 items and came away with twice that many. For the most part, I wasn't there for anything too hard to find, but I did find that a few of my regular items have gone up in price. The most alarming, though, was eggs, which we didn't need today, but get this:  we normally buy the store brand 18-pack for $1.99 or maybe a little more now and then.

That pack today?  $7.99!

$7.99??!!

I purchase cage free, pasture fed, humane certified eggs which are usually a bit higher.  The price was reasonable today at $4.99.

I'm back from my weekly shopping expedition.  As has been the case recently, it wasn't crowded, which I was happy about.  The one thing I haven't been able to find is Softsoap (or something similar.  They had tissues, so I bought a box.  No paper towels or toilet paper.

Up until today I have been seeing Softsoap.  The market had paper towels & TP which we didn't need.

So, SW Ohio is experiencing some gusty winds today and Richard discovered that our porch furniture blew over (not away) and the glass table top shattered into a million pieces.  Photo evidence on Facebook.

Oh, not good.  What a mess.

It was bittersweet video chatting with Freyja today.  At least Bryan had taken time off of work for our visit and was home on Keith's birthday for a change.  Craig, of course, was home as well today.

Bryan doesn't seem overwhelmed by work, thank goodness.  I hope it stays that way.  It is surprising what people will still go into the ER for these days.  One person was nervous they might have a fever and went to have their temperature taken.  He emphasized there are people with COVID-19 and they should leave the hospital before catching it. ::)

We were surprised that both Bryan & Craig cannot find tofu.  We haven't had a problem here.

Did they try the spackle department at the hardware store?

I found a 1972 production of Mrs. Warren's Profession with Coral Browne and an amazingly young Penelope Wilton. She looks nothing like she did in Downton Abbey, but the same fire is there.

His immediate group are well but apparently several have lost relatives and there were 10 deaths of people in his  building last he heard

We used this Zoom contraption for our work session and it worked just fine but it's not much different than Skype in terms of one-on-ones.
