My nephew leaves New York today or tomorrow  he said things with the funeral home he was helping out at are much more under control. They even had a sort of slow day yesterday.  He's got to do quarantine so he's going to my mom's place at the lake.  We plan to rent it out for the season, but the people who had it last year want a new dock first. That will take longer than 2 weeks, so it's cool.  Adam doesn't think he has Covid but who knows, in any event it will be a good place for him to decompress.  As a funeral director he said he's seen a lot worse in terms of condition of those who passed but the sheer numbers have really had an impact on him.

Please once again convey my sincere thanks for his work here.

Thank you Vixmom. I have and I will.  They went sight seeing in the funeral home van today.  LOL.  They didn't have any extra passengers, but that's what they drove out there, so that's what they toured in.

Cilla your photos are fantastic

Thanks!  You know I love the camera and will love learning everything about it, but it has also really brought on a lot of delayed grief over my dad.  I'm hoping if I get a good night's sleep I'll feel better tomorrow.

So there I was in a bank , gloved and masked while all the staff stood  well away from me and watched me.... everyone completely silent

LOL, in normal times that would warrant the panic button being pushed!

DR Laura, I could think of tons of places around AZ to use this camera.  And it actually has a bird setting, I haven't quite figured out what it does yet as it doesn't seem much different from regular autofocus but I'll figure it out

One of the things I'm very frustrated about is trying to get things signed by clients in jail when I can't go see them at the jail.  I have to mail them the stack of documents, then explain it all on the phone, then they are supposed to sign and initial and mail it back.  I have yet to have a client initial all the places they have to initial before sending back and have yet to have a prosecutor willing to let them finish initialing when they arrive in court.  It's madness.

Ok, I'm going to try to get some sleep.  Lately I haven't gone to bed until 2 or 3 am and still wake up at 7:30 or 8:00.  So I'm going to try to sleep more tonight.   Good night

Can you get those stickers "sign here" " initial here". "Notarize here".  That's what I use for these remote closings and contract signings

No gloves or masks though for sale though.  Everyone , employees and customers were wearing them as well.

I like that people are wearing masks.

I mentioned to Bryan if there is a line at Costco to get in he should be able to use his ID and go to the front of the line.  Fortunately he hasn't seen a line yet.

I am not really sure if all Costco stores are offering this to hospital workers on the front lines or not.  I also read military people are included.

A great deal more eggs than I wanted but I suppose they’ll keep

Since eggs have a long expiration date we are keeping a carton ahead, just in case.

When the closer arrived we spoke through the receptionist window, each of us, masked and gloved, standing well back on each of our sides of the window,

You were well protected 😊

Inside was several pads of note paper and 2 dozen pens, very handy.  A lovely note, a nice sized box of Godiva chocolates (!) and two bottles of hand sanitizer!!

What a nice gift.  Which was more exciting the chocolate or hand sanitizer?

It's now a requirement by decree of our Governor  Cuomo.  Stores have signs , "no mask, no entry"

DR George, there are a lot of cool you tube videos with this camera.  I can't wait to explore all the things it can do.  I need to buy a good tripod before I try to shoot the moon

Do you need a tripod for other photos?  Those big cameras seem like enough to carry ;)

The tripod helps for stability.  When the zoom is all the way out it's really hard to hold it steady as it's heavy.  You can stabilize for things like a quick shot of a bird without one but the best will be with one. It also can do wifi to a tablet and all sorts of things I'm not even close to trying yet.

How much does your camera weigh?
