Mikey and Peggy

DRSWW, it must be some Freudian thing that I have never noticed this before about your dogs, but my parents' names were Mike and Peggy.  Actually, Meyer and Margaret, but that's several other stories.  ;)

I forgot to mention one of the most appropriate connections between John Stowell and HHW (or at least BK):  one of John's frequent collaborators in LA is John Pisano, the legendary TJB and BMB guitarist who was part of BK's splendid Wechter Tribute.

The site said that I was most compatable with Gerard Butler! ::) Russell Crowe and Cary Elwes were each 99% compatable.  Andy Lau (who's he?) and Tim Roth were each 98% compatable.  I'm not picky...I'll take whoever wants me! ;)

I got the Hayes girls:  Helen and Gabby!

No Allison?

I am compatible with the Mssrs. Gene Simmons, David Lynch, and Daniel Day-Lewis!

How would you like the therapy bill for that group?

I was 100% compatible with Michael Clark Duncan...although I have no idea who that is!

Runners up in compatibility were Jim Breuer, Will Ferrell and Barry Sanders.

AOL's welcome page is reporting that Peter Jennings has lung cancer and will be off the air for the foreseeable future.  I was wondering why Charlie Gibson was doing the Pope coverage.

I'm very sorry to hear that.  I like Peter Jennings.

I'm outside on my patio, because it's a completely stunningly gorgeous day, not a cloud in sight and wonderully warm.

I love wireless.  I love the fact that the Powerbook screen automatically adjusts for whatever light its in.  Oh, and remember how I couldn't find my wireless mouse anywhere and had to buy a new one?  I just went to my computer case to get the new one out to use outside.  I looked in the wrong pocket.  Guess what I found in the wrong pocket.  The other wireless mouse.  Go know.
**chuckle**  That sounds like something I would do!

Speaking of dark chocolate--I have to tell you guys that I have found heaven!  The new M & M Star Wars "come to the dark side" with peanuts.

I discovered them on a co-workers desk this afternoon.  If you are into dark chocolate, these things are to DIE for!

I know I will be buying a (well...) bag when I go shopping this weekend.

Good Afternoon!

Back from sound check...

What a neat hall. What a neat campus.  -And I found out the on-campus Starbucks is actually open until midnight, Monday-Thursday and Sunday nights.  -It took me a second to realize the logic behind that schedule.  I had also forgotten that Butler has a small observatory - I think I remember writing to them when I was going through my "star" phase in grade school.

After sound check, I made a Target run, and now I should all that I need for the rest of the week here.

Btw, DRs Ginny, JRand and Joey - I got the ticket confirmations today.  :)  Yippee!!  *Someone better have a digital camera with them!

*Oh, and I dropped off my film at Target too while I was there.  I should be able to post some pics from this trip and from NYC Friday night.

BK - Should I be expecting to see a slightly-used wireless Apple Mouse on E-bay soon?

...Not that I've been looking for a deal or anything like that.  ;)

DR Jennifer - It sounds like the roast you bought was a "butcher's special" thingy.  So, just call the store where you bought it and ask for the butcher/meat department for their suggestion.

And as for "low and slow" - I have a recipe that calls for cooking a roast at 200 - yes 200 degrees - for about 10-12 hours.  Basically, it's using your oven as a slow cooker.

I don't have a digital camera.  Doesn't DRGINNY have one?

Yes, I love Clowes Hall, and yes Butler does have an observatory.

Have a great Indy Opening Night, DR JOSE!  Indianapolis audiences are usually very enthusiastic - but they may be a bit older than you and the cast are used to!

Do they have souvenir books for sale?

DR Jose - I will have my digital camera on Sunday.

I'm actually very excited about attending the performance at Clowes Hall.  My grandmother lived most of her life in Indianapolis and was very fond of going there.  My family has many Indianapolis roots and, although I've never lived a day of my life in that city, I feel very connected there.
