I'm surprised there isn't a button.  What kind of phone did you get.  For example, on my phone there isn't a "specific" button that says voice mail.  But there are three multi-function buttons above the dialing buttons.  If you look on the screen you'll see the options - on my phone the middle option ON THE SCREEN says voice mail.

I’m blurry eyed from trying to set up my new phone.  I couldn’t find anything in the manual on retrieving my voice mail.  A flashing light indicates I have voice mail but it turns out there isn’t a button to retrieve it.  Now I’m going to try programming numbers into the phone.  Somehow I will have to make that the first number to show up.

Is your voice mail stored in the phone set? (digital "tape", etc.)  Or is it through your phone service/provider?

A lot of times manufacturers will put out one manual for a line of products that have similar features, but not all of them.  There's usually a listing of model numbers in the front of the book.  Usually...

The phone my parent's have has a bunch of buttons that are multi-functional depending upon what "mode" you're in.  Additionally, some of those additional functions are labeled in a very light color... Even hard for me to read at times, and I'm used to reading little black dots and lines in dim light.

Linda Laurie didn't even have a coloured telephone.  (Ambrose Part V).  If you know that reference you should be with your carer.

If you don't know Linda - Ruby Red Dress and Delta Dawn were her children.

I hadn't heard THAT alternate version DR CP.

BUT I do remember Miss Dorothy Collins busting through the Lucky Strike circle in a white blouse and declaring:

"So round, so firm, so fully packed!"  ;D

I always preferred Julie London - filter, flavour and flip top. You got a lot to like.

Anacin contains aspirin, buffering, and caffeine.  :P

When I was 3 years old I swallowed/ate a container full of Anacin...I can still remember the taste! Blech! But I don't remember going to the hospital to have my stomach pumped.

I have always preferred Ibuprofen of acetaminophen.

My new phone is a Vtech.  The sound is excellent but the set up is very different from the Panasonic phones I’m use to.  Jose it is all in black and white.  I was thinking color might be nice, but not anymore.  There is one base phone, base with a handset phone, and a second handset that sits in a cradle-no need for phone jacks.  They even have an intercom system.  I called Vtech and it doesn’t have a voice mail button so I will have to dial into our server.   I complained and said they might at least mention that in the manual.  The redial is a bit of a pain and the handsets take several motions to get to the redial.  I do have trouble with my vision so the more I need to read options the more difficult it is for me.

Have I mentioned the sound quality is excellent?  :D I think I need to call Romania tomorrow morning and check it out LONG distance. I just called Bryan and for once could understand what he was saying.  It also helped he was home and not in a noisy location.  Keith was heading out to mow the lawn and I had him take the phone out with him until Bryan complained he could hear the wind.  Well, it is very windy here today.

I can now use the phone and my wireless!!

I really must program a few numbers, such as voicemail, and see how that works.  Even though I did my Wed. morning hike I want to take a second one this evening.  It is just too lovely out to stay indoors.  This morning we had an incredible sunrise-nice, nice day.

Collector's Classic CD has all the Everly Brothers Warner Bros LP's on Cd this month.  Great albums!  We had INSTANT PARTY and BOTH SIDES OF AN EVENING.  Loved to hear Phil and Don sing "Mention My Name in Sheboygan" and "My Grandfather's Clock" and "When I Grow Too Old to Dream" and "Love Is Where You Find It."

Warner Bros LP's had great stereo separation, Annette on VISTA had great stereo, and the Capital records (before that terrible stereo/mono compatible crap) had the BEST stereo sound.  Loved to hear them on the BIG console in the living room!

Oh no, I think I need to program the base and each handset individually-I hope not.

My sister and I bought our parents a two-handset cordless phone set and each "phonebook" has to be programmed separately into each phone, but once the system is set up at the base, the second handset just needed to be plugged into a power outlet and phone jack for it to work.

Classic musicals night on IDOL:

http://www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2005-04-05-idol-tuesday-recap_x.htm

And...?  Is this fellow's take identical to your own?  He states a bias against show music...!  That negates his comments for me.

I thought Bo was terrific last night.  Loved his "Corner of the Sky"...first time -- out of seeing several productions of it -- in which the song was sung by someone with a voice.  Of course, I've seen rank amateur productions, except for that William Katt version that was out on video years ago.  Even then....

I thought Anthony did a wonderful reading of a song he should never have picked.  I cringed when I read what he would sing.  I was amazed at how well he sang it.  I was not surprised at the nonsensical reception Simon gave it.

He was every bit as good on that song as Carrie was on her poor choice of "Hello Young Lovers."  Of course, Randy and Simon calling the song "boring" was a bit much...and says VOLUMES about their breadth of musical appreciation (i.e., none).  I think the songs are overly familiar and NOT fodder for "pop music" competition.  But then, someone DID make it a theme night.

I cannot imagine anyone having Nikko as a favorite...but Randy thinks he's the greatest, as does the writer of that USAToday piece.  He has no voice.  He is flash, and "styling" and a whole lot of heart and "wannabe"...but he doesn't have the vocal skills to back it all up.  He'd be a great lipsync act.

Constantine and Nadia and Vonzell were very pleasing, I thought.

Anwar....oof.  I kept waiting for him to hit just one note that was actually part of the song and hold it for more than three seconds...but it wasn't to be.

Scott sucked.

The 3 Stooges were absolutely the worst thing about the entire evening.  They spoiled the fun of the whole evening.   And not one single time did any one of them say anything that was complimentary, constructive, instructive or valuable in any sense of the word.  They are useless.

:)
