DR JANE is eating raw hamburger.....that can be more dangerous than eating Fancy Feast, I would imagine.

Fake meat and completely safe to eat.  It just wasn't a ginger cookie ;D

In a very nice gesture, my boss has let us go early for the long weekend.

New moon in Gemini!

With the appearance of the new Gemini moon, we say goodbye to one cycle and hello to a new one. Gemini energy can be restless and scattered, making it hard to come up with concrete ideas to expand upon.

Gemini is ruled by Mercury, the fast-moving ruler of information and communication, so you can use this time for brainstorming and networking with big idea people. You might not know exactly how the things you’re talking about now are going to unfold in the future, but you’re okay with that. Use this dynamic, airy energy to explore bigger-than-life thoughts and dreams without worrying about the details.

No mail to pick up.  Have had two Zoom rehearsals and have a thirty-minute break before the next one.  Zoom is certainly not anything you could use for a musical, I'll tell you that.  Lag, terrible audio...

I preordered the new book about Valley of the Dolls......Dolls! Dolls! Dolls! by Stephen Rebello.....I hope it is a real book with real research and not a cut and paste job of stories and interviews that have been around for decades......

Jane, since you were interested in the early polio vaccines I'll mention there was an article in the NYTimes this past week about the early polio vaccines and the risks and shortcomings of new vaccines. I hope some of the Powers That Be read it and take it to heart, as a faulty vaccine can do great damage.

It's not uncommon for the weeks to fly by, but under Covid my weeks fly by and I feel like I haven't done anything. I suspect that's because so much of my time is now spent on the hunt for groceries and such. Such mundane activities!

Made a really good Portuguese dish for dinner. It was essentially a salad with cod, garbanzos, onion, cilantro snd tomato. The original recipe called for salt cod, which I did Not have. So I baked my regular cod in panko breadcrumbs, which added a crunchy texture. Will definitely make this again.

There are more cars on the road here, but some drivers don't seem to realize that. They drive as if there's no one around. I had to speak to one driver yesterday and tell him that there are other cars. Of course, unless he's telepathic he wouldn't have heard me.

I went to Portland for a couple of hours and met with a new endocrinologist.  I had no idea my appointment would take so long and was very impressed with her.

It took a year to get this appointment.  Originally I was only going for a second opinion.  When I couldn't get a bone density test where I usually this new doctor got me into a place that had the same kind of machine where I have been getting it done.

Church is going to reopen next Sunday, which is Pentacost, but I think the rules will enrage some. Yes, you have to wear a mask, but you also have to have your temperature taken before you can enter the sanctuary. You have to adhere to social distancing. All hymnals, bibles and any paper and pens have been removed. Everything will be wiped down between services.

I’m not ready to head back.

LA County has a goal of reopening by July 4. I haven't heard any details and I doubt that they mean EVERYTHING. But car washes have been told they can reopen, which I welcome as my car is filthy. I do hope people continue to distance and wear masks.

Technically it should be done on the exact same machine but I do believe this was close enough.  Letting the new doctor order the test I felt as if I was burning my bridges with the old doctor and hoped I liked the new one.  It was a relief that I do.
