The librarian I dealt with has had a long career with the San Antonio Public Library system. She told me she didn’t know if the library would ever reopen for browsing. That can all be done online.

No, it can't all be done online...that's just propaganda!  There are services that our library provides that also can't be easily done online.  We're a library that serves mostly rural, mostly low income patrons, so not everyone here even has access to the Internet, let alone high speed Internet.  We WILL eventually open back up to public browsing and access. :-\

I wondered about that.

I didn't full believe her. But it seems to be the game plan for the near future.

In normal times, our libraries are overflowing with people and community programs.

Perhaps tomorrow will be battery day - shipment expected, I talked directly to the folks who came last night and they "say" they'll call me when the shipment arrives around one and then I'll call AAA and get them to schedule it.  Really irritating.  And they said it's exactly what I suspected - idiots not starting their cars for weeks and then creating a run on batteries.

I am dying for my library to re-open (I mean curbside pickup).  Still nothing. But hopefully soon.

Chapters book store opened this week.  And other libraries have opened for pickup.

Amazing so many people didn't drive at all, not even to pick up a few supplies.

I know!  Or even just start it up and run it for a few minutes.

I have friends on FB saying the home page has been changed.  Some like it, so far most don't.  The biggest complainer about it is my friend who can't find the option to change it back to the original look.  What is very odd is that others have easily been able to change it.

So far I still have the old home page.

Mine changed a couple of months ago. Or I changed it when I was given the option. I like the way it is now.

That was a long time ago.  I wonder if I just ignored an option to change it.

Amazing so many people didn't drive at all, not even to pick up a few supplies.

And the wrong people are driving. I had green lights today and was going straight when an oil truck decided to turn into my lane. I laid on the horn, but the truck just kept coming. Thankfully no one was in the lane to my left and I was able to avoid him.

Thank you for the vibes the doctor says it’s nothing to worry about , apparently I damaged the area somehow and it’s broken capillaries under the skin that I am seeing.  Odd since it doesn’t hurt but he says it will go away in a week or two....if it doesn’t then I need to go back

Just finished Cathie Pelletier's excellent novel, The One-Way Bridge. I tried to stretch it out, but when I got to within 70 pages of the ending, I just made time for it. Beautiful book.
