Well, I need to be going.  I'm leaving work early, will do some shopping for my parents, and then go over to their house and hang out and find out what might've happened.

Be back later.

DR George is there any news regarding your mother?

Not yet.  I probably won't find out anything until my mom comes home.  I'm leaving work in about an hour to do some shopping for them, then I'll go over there and hopefully find out something.

I hope she will soon be home.

She's coming home today.  They just wanted to keep her overnight for observations.

I know but sometimes it takes a long time to get checked out of the hospital.

Stella's thick coat is luxuriant and she looks fantastic.  I think she's still angry with me, and I've apologized several times.

Vibes to George's mom.

A friend who is in his eighties gets mini strokes, TIAs. He's super healthy and very active, but he still gets them.

The Met offers a free 7-day trial.  On day Six, July 29, I cancelled; I honestly was underwhelmed by what was available.  The Met responded with an email saying they would respond within 48 hours, and this morning $14.99 was deducted from my bank account because they did not cancel in time.  I just sent them an unpleasant email.

I've had companies do that. They receive an unpleasant email and also lose my business. Do you think they make the connection? Probably not. If asked, they'd say they set up the automatic deductions, but would have some excuse for not honoring the cancellation.

When I was petting Stella, her coat felt oily and dirty, and God knows what shge might have got into, so I gave her a bath.  She was neither amused nor happy with Daddy.  I hope I haven't destroyed our relationship.

I was hoping she'd associate escaping from the apartment with the displeasure of the bath and thus be reluctant to escape again. She may dislike the bath, but I think she's at risk of getting harmed by running around the building on her own. You were right to bathe her.

DR Jeanne---that vegan restaurant sounds great.  I looked at the menu online.   Next time I'm in LA I'll have to try and go.

Yes, do give it a try. Unfortunately, it's only take-out or delivery these days for us.

I was at WalMart this morning because I needed bananas and bread - but I also bought a few more things.

I used the self check-out again.  So their plan has worked - I will probably use it instead of waiting in line again.....

I loathed those machines when they first came out. They weren't self-explanatory at all! After two bad experiences I wouldn't use them. But the machines at my local Ralph's have a completely different user interface now, plus one of the employees gave me quick lesson, and now I'm fine with them.

That was us yesterday after our encounter with a bicyclist who almost ran us over.

This person had something wrong with their vocal chords and in a deep loud whisper said "passing, passing".  By the time we heard we were rather frightened as not having slowed down the person almost fell off of their bike stopping an inch in front of us as we turned around.

This was on a narrow sidewalk.  When Keith yelled at the person to use the street, which is fairly quiet by this section of the sidewalk, the person had the gall to say it wasn't safe as the person might get hit by a car.  My response was to yell what about your almost running us over us.

The bicyclist then continued on past us down to the end of the cul de sac, turned around and raced back at us forcing us to jump out of the way again.

I don't like the taste though I was ok with Craig cooking with it.   However, since you asked, there are environmental issues due to the popularity of almond mild.

I do still eat almonds.

I'm staying with my dad tonight at my parents' house.  I'll go to my house in a couple of hours so that I can feed my cat and get my toothbrush and some other stuff to bring here for the night.

Thanks, Jeanne!  I think TIAs are what was she said that she's has had in the past.

Yes, she just called about a half hour ago.  She's doing well, but still waiting to find out what the tests show.

She also asked me to mow their lawn, which I'll do in a few minutes.  Fortunately, it's a small yard. ;)
