Today for the first time in my ENTIRE WHOLE life - the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race will be available for me to watch LIVE.It has always been blacked out in my area since it began to be broadcast.....but not TODAY.So I shall watch.
Joshie was a foster failure. I had to pay for him just to clear him off the books. They let me have him for the cost of the rabies shot. Best $11 I ever spent -- and I paid for him on my birthday! Best birthday present EVAR!
Thanks for reminder — I will get the Sandy Bainum downloads when I’m on the computer later. And I will take care to do a proper A/B comparison, by connecting my external CD drive so that I’m listening to both sources through the same system, over the same monitors.
Is anyone here a fan of The Wind in the Willows?
Today I finished what is hopefully my last edit of the A&T book. It's only taken two months. I cleaned up too many chronological collisions and corrected a few inconsistencies, like what floor the suicide lives on. I'm rather proud of it.
Mom's oven and my oven work very differently. When I made this at home, the pie was ready in 30 minutes. It's been 45 minutes here so far and needs another 10-15 minutes to bake.
Then I tried new pie crusts from Trader Joe's. They have pluses and minuses. The big minus is that when I unrolled it from the box, it fractured into way too many pieces. Rolling it out at that point proved to be a problem.
And here it is. I just happened to be coming on to see what's up and say goodnight.
100,000 postings from our dearest dear reader Jane!!!
Congrats to Jane on her milestone.
Last night somebody, somewhere on the World Wide Web, posted a photo of a typical English Breakfast. Damn them. It was a beautiful thing, only serving to kick off a long term craving that eventually must be satisfied.

I am waiting until after September 2.Why that particular date? That is the day they test all of the fire alarms in all the buildings. It is deafening. It really freaked Nicky out.

Have a good week, everyone.Stay cool, stay safe.TTFN.
I had $10 in cash, and then my mom paid me back for a door knob, so I had $60 total. I lost the first $10, then lost some more, then kept playing and started winning...and finally ended up $15 richer! I went home with $75! I don't think that I've ever won that much!
Thank you DR George for sharing my milestone along with my post.
Hi, Jane!
