DR singdaw, something happened several months ago that made it sometimes necessary to refresh one’s screen to get the current notes to display. It’ll happen on some platforms and software and not others, and there’s nothing consistent about it. It’s just a “thing”. You’ll get used to it.

RIP wonderful actor Michael Lonsdale, 89.

Throughout the years I have always had to re-remember his name, but he was unforgettable as the methodical investigator in The Day of the Jackal, the villain in Moonraker, and probably many equally wonderful roles I don’t yet even know.

As I posted on FB, I am concerned that our November mail-in ballots, which were supposed to be mailed September 18th, have still not arrived.

At this point, I am more and more convinced that in-person early voting is the better option. It-s a health risk, though, which is the only thing that makes me hesitate.

A dilemma. But it is just too important to not be vigilant about it.

I got my ballot last week - I had requested it about nine days before. I sent it back the next day.

I can see nothing happening between now and November 3 that would change my mind about voting.

I like the Brahms Requiem, and have sung movements of it, but I don't know that I've ever listened to it with concentration all the way through, and I should. There's no lack of recordings, for heaven's sake.
