The New York Animal Concentration Camp Care Center is now photographing new arrivals in an autumnal setting.  If I could, I would adopt little 33-lb Greenie in a heartbeat.

Cute!  And so's the dog. ;)

That guy’s name is Greenie
.

What dog?

For the most part, the library really only takes things that they already own and are in good condition...nothing smelly or wet or damaged, of course.

Why would your dad have smelly, wet or damaged items?

And now, I'm going to sleep.  Today is my sister's birthday, so we're all getting together for that.  That'll be good.

Have a good day, all!

Happy birthday to your sister who shares the day with Craig.

Happy (belated now, though) Birthday to Craig!

Thank.

We just watched the 2015 film version of Ahrens and Flaherty's Lucky Stiff.  Fun!

I really enjoyed it...not everyone here did, though (but that's okay, too). ;)

I only saw the Lakewood Playhouse production, but I was not crazy about it.  Of course, I wasn’t crazy about WEEKEND AT BERNIES either.

I went through and took probably three dozen DVDs! ;D

I did the same with Dad’s collection.

My dad wouldn't, but people HAVE donated items like that to the library.  And existing library items have been returned by patrons in those conditions. :P

Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

Interesting...Byck was born almost exactly two months before Stephen Sondheim...January 30, 1039 and Sondheim was born March 22, 1930.

You had better adjust those dates.

Apologies to TCB for not responding to his inquiry last night.
I remembered that someone had asked this, so I went back and found it:

Quote
I have never seen ASSASSINS, is Santa Claus a character in the show?

That character is Sam Byck whose plan it was to assassinate Richard Nixon. He wears the Santa suit throughout the show, which is unexplained, but it fits in beautifully with his persona and his two over-the-top monologues. It's based on his having been arrested at a protest in which he was indeed in such a suit.

Here's a pic that wasn't mine to share on the other site.

Thanks, Chas, I thought maybe Uncle Steve swore you to secrecy.

Because he had no Monet to buy Degas to make the Van Gogh.

No groaning allowed at HHW!

I am not familiar with the Saint-Saens concerti.  I suppose I should be.  Something to remedy!

I like all the French!

:o Matthew!  This is a family site!

Listening to Bernstein's brilliant The Age of Anxiety symphony with Entremont doing the wonderful piano part.  And aren't we just living in the age of anxiety.

I took a pill - I thought it was working but I'm still sniffling, which is annoying, but it mostly affects my throat, with lots of throat clearing and phlegm.
