I am not familiar with the Saint-Saens concerti.  I suppose I should be.  Something to remedy!

A sacred Erev Yom Kippur to those who celebrate.

I'll second that greeting.

It was interesting. The sermon this morning would have made a good message for Yom Kippur. It was essentially calling for everyone to take stock and atone for past mistakes.

That would be a good sermon.

It is currently a comfortable sunny 71 degrees.  By tomorrow we should reach 81, and 85 by Wednesday.

I purchased a pretty new soap dish today as I can't find any liquid or foam soap that I can tolerate.   Target will let me order 4 bottles of the Method foam coconut soap but there is a catch.  I have to order $35 more in order to purchase the foam soap.

And here's an unknown Whitney Houston singing it, too, on the Merv Griffin show.

Something from Entenmann's?

Taking an Entremont break to listen to Mr. Bach's St. Matthew's Passion with Klemperer - it's pretty gorgeous.

Enjoying the Bach - very long but very good.  Each disc is over seventy-five minutes, there being three discs - I believe it's the slowest recording but I love the sound and the band and the singing so who cares.

I am sure.  Is there any chance of extending it or doing it again in the future?

DR George, as family deaths go, I think it's wonderful that your dad had a humdinger of a sendoff.  It's nice to celebrate a birthday today.  The cycle continues.

Thanks, Larry.  Today was a good day.

My family all got together at my mom's, as well as my niece's aunt and other grandmother (her late father's sister and mother, whose birthday is also today...and ALSO named Diane!), as well as my niece's late father's wife, and several other family friends.

After my sister and her husband got divorced, both sets of parents stayed friends.  There was never any animosity between them.

While at my mom's, she said that anyone who wanted any of my dad's books or DVDs or CDs could take them.
