Well, you've read the notes, the notes found the notes, and now it is time for you to post until the found cows come home.

So, yesterday was a day. :) I first went to my sister's and the family all got together for lunch.  My sister made enchiladas and just made up the recipe.  They were meat-free, but still really good.  She used the 10-inch flour tortillas and I could only eat one.  I brought one home and had it for dinner.  Even reheated, it was still really good.  I wouldn't have minded some ground beef, but it wasn't missed.  After eating lunch, we played Phase 10 and my sister won.  Whatever. ::)

After we were all done at my sister's, her boyfriend Larry and I went to my work and borrowed (with permission) a flatbed cart so that he and I could move the 115-pound TV(!) from my mom's den into Larry's Honda CRV to bring it to Best Buy to be recycled.  This was a wide-screen TV, but it had a CRT and was huge!

Here's the cart in front of the TV still on its table:

And here's the side view so you can see the depth of the TV:

Fortunately, the cart was very sturdy and it was pretty easy getting it out of the house, even down the two stairs outside.  And we were able to get the TV into Larry's Honda without much trouble...it was freakin' heavy, but we managed.  We left the cart at my mom's house and when we got to Best Buy (I rode with him in his car), he pulled up right in front of the store and they got the TV out of his car.  We then went back to my mom's to get the cart and my car, and we brought the cart back to my work and I put it back to where it came from, then we went to our respective homes.

By this time, I was hungry for dinner, so I ate the leftover really good and very large enchilada and read a few chapters in my Cormoran Strike book that's on my tablet.  This epub title from the library has a real due date, so I can't dilly-dally with my reading, like I can with my Kindle titles.  I then promptly fell asleep until a little after midnight, which is why I didn't show up here until after the day changed. ::)

Yesterday, Jane asked:
Quote
George & TCB did you see our governor will be making an announcement tomorrow regarding new bans?

Tom said that he saw it, and I did, too.  I won't watch/listen to it live, but I'll find out what's it all about (Alfie ;) ) when I find out about it.

DR George, that TV saga was quite an adventure.

This should be a quiet day.  I need to pay three bills and post them tomorrow, and I will try to get more proofreading of band parts accomplished.

Yesterday a friend who's been reading my A&T book had a suggestion about Chapter One that I liked very much, but that means rethinking Chapter Two as well.  I've made my first attempt, and I'm letting it sit for a couple of days before I read it and see how I feel about it.  If I'm not happy, I can try another approach or go back to what I originally had.

I think tonight we'll watch Robin and Marian, which I've never seen.  I like Sean Connery, Audrey Hepburn, and Richard Lester. so I'm looking forward to it.

DR TCB, I agree with you about The Draughtsman's Contract.  I watched it thinking what the fat hell is going on, but Peter Greenaway's films seem to get wonderful actors indulging in pretentious twaddle.  I liked Prospero's Books because it was like watching a live Renaissance mural, and I thought The Cook, The Thief, His Wife & Her Lover was outrageously funny and twisted.  The Belly of An Architect and A Zed and Two Naughts left me bewildered but not bewitched.

Stella has been bullying Thatch, who happily doesn't seem to let it bother him.  When he goes to get water or some kibble, she suddenly darts in front of him and helps herself, making him wait.  My little gentleman does it with great patience and no resentment.  Last night during Midsomer Murders he groomed her after they had spent the afternoon in hectic play.

Talk about a rabbit hole! I was hereforto unaware of David Hurwitz.

Now, I think I could spend the next several years watching all of these intriguing video reviews.

Thanks, bk!

If there were room for a writing table, I'd be all set.
