I, too, would rather be anywhere but shopping on Black Friday.

I never left the house yesterday except to walk down to the mailbox where I retrieved my Anyone Can Whistle CD.

So, was this Anyone Can Whistle worth the wait?

I can't take depressing family dramas anymore. I'm taking the unwatched ones back to the library today.

TOD:

Always have been a big Eddie Murphy fan, since the days I saw his standup live and his SNL days. But, boy, can he make a dog of a movie. ChasSmith has mentioned several. But when he's on, as he is in Dreamgirls as James Thunder Early, he can be exciting.

I haven't seen him in Dolomite, but I want to.

Some other favorites:
Trading Places
48 Hrs.
Another 48 Hrs.
Coming to America
Beverly Hills Cop

Watching Barbra somebody or other in Up the Sandbox. I haven't seen this in ages and maybe not all the way through. At least it's not too depressing.

Saturday morning greetings!  I'm all suited up for Michigan football at noon.  During the game I will finish one of the Christmas presents I'm making for Mary Linda and afterwards I'll continue working on another.

I watched a few college basketball games yesterday and will watch a few more today.

Hopefully DR GINNY's team will win the pigskin scuffle today.

The season, which I think never should have happened, is not going well for anyone.

TOD:

Beverly Hills Cop
48 HRS & its sequel
Shrek

I have not seen Dolemite either, although I saw the Rudy Ray Moore movie on TCM late one night last year....it was most excellent...

I of course liked Eddie Murphy on SNL and his stand up - particularly when he talked about his dad and the rest of his family - was most enjoyable.....I still laugh about how his aunt fell down the stairs.......

This is true DR GINNY.....and a lot of folks are getting blamed that really have nothing to do with the situation....especially by some big mouth coaches who are not used to being disagreed with by ANYONE.....ANYWHERE.

One of the common taters on one game really took a coach to task after he tweeted about his hard choices in choosing opponents and how rough he was having it......   During a game the C.T. said: "Hey [coach's name] it's not about you - it's about the kids. Take care of them and make sure they're handling everything okay....it's NOT ABOUT YOU."

And during the next game in the series, another C.T. said:  "Well [coach's name] you can certainly tell us how you feel...it's valid....don't stop talking...."

I'm sure someone's ESPN telephone rang during the interim with the crybaby coach wailing to the big brass.....

Just so you know:

Neptune goes direct in the sign it rules, compassionate Pisces today, enhancing your intuition and bringing out your spiritual side. This special pairing can lead to emotional healing and give you clarity about topics that can really make a difference in your life.

Saw it recently.  It's not one of my favorites, but I enjoyed parts of it.

Recorded "Shadow of a Doubt" and most of the other Hitchcock movies on TCM the last few days.   I watched "The Man Who Knew Too Much" yesterday.  Its's another favorite.

Looking forward to "Saboteur" and "Marnie."  I've never seen those.

If DR Jrand70 signs a release, "Common Taters" will be the title of my next something-or-other.

From DR George:

It's been mandated that stores can only allow a certain percentage of their total capacity.

I know.  I just like the fact it was not only mandated but being honored.

I saw this on CNN and wondered if it might impact bk's shooting schedule:

All public and private gatherings with people outside a single household will be prohibited for three weeks in Los Angeles County starting Monday to curb an unprecedented spread of coronavirus, the Department of Public Health announced in a news release.

I had meant to ask yesterday and was distracted by my concern for our friends.    I am worried the father and sister will get sick on the drive home.

Back from The Test, which was quick and easy, thankfully.  We go there about twenty minutes early - but there was only one car ahead of us just finishing up.  While we were pulling up to the window another car came behind us - I assume they were the appointment before us but they took us anyway.

Got a 40% off coupon so I've ordered from a new barbecue place for 2:00 delivery - a pulled pork sandwich.

That is pretty disgraceful. I wonder if the Texas legislature will reconsider their policy.
