The first time I ever made it, though, a bit of an error. She reference a separate recipe for a spice mixture, which I made and dumped in.

I learned that you are only supposed to use a portion of the spice mixture. The result was so spicy as to be inedible.  But it IS a good recipe.

Our church zoom Christmas party is less than an hour away. My "No Room in the Gingerbread Inn" setup is ready. I think I'm going to have another bowl of soup.

Thank you, Matthew and Elmore. I'm watching 42nd Street and wondering what that would look like.

Saturday afternoon greetings!

The good news: 2020’s first batch of caramel corn is about to come out of the oven and it smells delicious  :D

The bad news:  our microwave died  >:(

Here’s what I’m NOT doing today:  watching Michigan football.  Their game was cancelled due to COVID-19.

My phone calendar just dinged a reminder. I was supposed to see Oklahoma! today.

We have to attend an online charity event tonight. Because an in-law is a co-sponsor. Frankly, I am not enthused about having to shave, shower, and dress up. But duty calls. It could be worse: I avoid in-person events like this like the plague.

So sorry, DR Jane.  Earlier this week our 99.9% surety of not going for Christmas became 100%.

Something arrived from Amazon that I could not remember ordering although I wanted it, so I suspect you are culprit. Mephisto?

DR Laura, not all choreography is notated.  One of the reasons Jerome Robbins assembled as many dancers from his shows on Jerome Robbins Broadway was to see if they could help him restage things. I don't think Agnes deMille's dances for Oklahoma! or Carousel were originally notated. The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization later filmed them, and I think she relied on several dancers she trusted like Gemze de Lappe to recreate them.  I think Randy Skinner is the recreator of 42nd Street.

I had takeout Chinese last night, so tonight's dinner is the leftover shrimp with garlic sauce.

We had pretty much made our decision, but finally sealed the deal in a video call with Rob and Mary Linda.

We had our church zoom party. I didn't realize there was a prize for the gingerbread houses. I won a $50 Visa gift card. Nice.

I took a class or two in Labanotation.....but then I kind of invented my own version.

Now I use what I call Easy Sheets......I teach the dance in sections.....teach Section One......teach Section Two.....then go back to Section One to start....  By they time we reach the end of the dance, we have done Section One Five or Six times.....

Then I put the Easy Sheet up on the Private Facebook page I make for the production, along with a video.  It is a nice way to get it done.
