Good Morning -  I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas Eve and a will have a lovely Christmas Day.... however it is you spend it.  Last night, Christmas Eve services (2 outdoors, 1 live-streamed indoors) were fine and lacked holiday magic.  But what are you going to do?   I came home and had my lovely home-cooked prime rib dinner for 1, which was yummy and watched "Meet Me In St. Louis" with the boys.

Today, I have one live-streamed service and I'm done.  A brief stop at the family residence and then off to a friends for the rest of the day.  Sabrina and her husband Alan and I have been in each others "bubble" since May.  It's nice to have a few friends like that.  We'll have a lovely dinner and watch movies and such.

This day will pass, tomorrow is another day and Christmas will be behind us.  2021 will be a year of hope most definitely.

Merry Christmas

We spent about 40 minutes on Facebook Messenger opening stocking presents with Rob, Mary Linda, and Charlotte.  She hung in pretty well, but eventually preferred playing on the floor.

I know the post office is a mess, thanks to Trump and his lapdog destroying it, but I have received nothing - cards, bills, junk mail - all week. That has me worried.

Makes me glad we sent you a virtual gift this year...

Richard and I discussed several possibilities for online Christmas Eve services, but got sucked into TCM and watched last night’s lineup of “Christmas in Connecticut,” “The Bishop’s Wife,” and “The Shop Around the Corner.”

As soon as I'm coherent, I guess I'll try and start the motor car.

DR elmore, I sent a package to my sister on December 15.  It was supposed to arrive on the 19th but she still hasn't received it.   I sent cards on the 16th to several people and nobody's received them.

Happily, the motor car started right up and I took a nice drive - the Havertys said they had way too much food, so I guess today I'll polish off the rest of the tuna pasta salad, but that's a good thing since I didn't see a single restaurant open, other than McDonald's, which, of course, had a line of cars.  Ralph's was open and the parking lot looked full - is that really how people spend Christmas Day.  But the streets were pretty empty.

I made meatloaf and sautéed mushrooms for lunch while Mom made mashed potatoes. Nice, simple, hearty meal.

When Freyja gets on the floor we have trouble seeing her, or the camera is adjusted and then we loose Bryan & Kate's heads ;D

Today we did our first three way family video chat.  We all talked while watching Freyja open her gifts.  In the box from Craig were cute baby clothes and toys, and candy I thought was for the adults.  I am not sure who the fizzy pops were intended for, just that they were a bit hit with Freyja :)

We did our Christmas Eve, as planned, and lazed about this morning and afternoon opening other gifts and eating delicious bacon and warm cinnamon rolls. We haven't even started the sausage and peppers yet, but will soon, and that will be it for the day, food wise.
