Another positive thing for the year is that I have not lost anyone to covid.  I hope that does not change.

This past week, Mom discovered that her most favorite cousin, a woman who took us on a tour through southern Germany and Austria, died from covid a few months ago. She knew Friedela had died, just not the cause.

Did it make it harder for your mother to know this?  :(

I just read that Texas and Florida are not following the CDC recommendations and will be vaccinating those 65 and older first.  I am glad Illinois and Maryland are doing essential workers first.

DR John the article I read did not say if having Diabetes would move you up to that category.  You might want to check.

That's so sad.  I'm very sorry, John. :(

Listened to lots more music, but saved the three operas for last - am now listening to Rusalk by Dvorak.  Prior to that it was Hanns Eisler's Deutsche Symphony, which I didn't love but must give it another listen, and a Viktor Ullmann one-act opera, that I also need to hear another couple of times - that one's very short, though.

I'm not 65. Not surprised the state isn't following guidelines.

No. I don't think so. She's more concerned with the first anniversary of Dad's death, which is tomorrow.

Just looked at the Met's schedule for this week. I always enjoyed Pavarotti, and he's the theme of the week. I hope I have the chance to watch a couple of them. I've never seen Ernani or Un Ballo en Maschera.

Rusalka is very long, but I'm enjoying it.  Are there links to all these opera streams?

That is why I suggested you check if diabetics, as well as other people with comorbidities, are included in the 65 and older group.

Once the fog began to lift and we could see the river, this was our view.

I thought I was viewing the emperor’s new clothes.

Tonight I watched the Disney/Jim Carrey version of A CHRISTMAS CAROL.  It was okay, but nothing to write home about.
