Three years this month since we were greeted by Benjamin Kritzer.

Where is Lionel Hampton? Maybe we need the Martin Denny and Arthur Lyman orchestras.

DH Richard and I are thinking about subscribing, if we can get decent seats.

I hadn't even realized it had been three years since Benjamin Kritzer made its debut.  Whew!

The event I'm speaking of is even more monumental.

Give that man a ceegar.  Not since its release, mind you, but since the day it started filming.  We'll be having a big ol' celebration come that day, which is this very week.   Send address for sparkling prize.

I see a quorum on the forum.  Now if we could only see some posts.  How about everyone's favorite Preminger films?

The Cardinal, which is one of the first "grown-up" movies I remember seeing.  Also, one of my earliest recollections of seeing the movie of a book I'd read and loved.

Tomovoz I planned to post the Beach Boys at the top of my list.  Your list is great.  What about the Ames Brother’s?  Do they count?

Jose, several years ago we had the pleasure of seeing Rockapella at the Ginger Rogers theater.  They were wonderful.

Of course there's that movie with that wonderful theme for which none other than Pat Boone wrote lyrics. "This Land Is Mine".

I did something today that I've been saying that I would do for several weeks...months, actually.  I recorded some records to make CDs for people that I know.  The one I did today (and the last one) is "GIANTS IN JAZZ:  Louis Armstrong."  I recorded all three vinyl albums, broke them up into individual tracks, made a booklet and endcard, burned the CDs...it's all done!!  The other records that I've already recorded are "P.D.Q. Strikes Back" (also three records) and "Porgy and Bess with Ray Charles and Cleo Laine" (two records).  Now I can return all the records to the guy that I borrowed them from!

Now that that's all done, I'm watching the special 2-hour "Extreme Makeover:  Home Edition."  After that will be "Desperate Housewives" and "Grey's Anatomy."

LOL DRJANE that's what makes horse racing.  I just remember Jean Arthur as being so charming in the original and NOT pushy.

I barely remember THE MORE THE MERRIER.  I should watch it again.

A lot of the interpersonal relationships have been developing and changing since the beginning of the show, but it's not like "Desperate Housewives" where you need to have been watching it to understand what's going on.  Each episode is its own self-contained story.

Probably the only things you might need to know is that in the first episode, the main character, Meredith Grey (played by Ellen Pompeo), met and slept with Patrick Dempsey's character, not knowing that he would be her instructor at the hospital.  They now are starting a relationship.  Also, her mother, played by Kate Burton, has Alzheimer's and doesn't really remember her at all.  Her mother used to work at the hospital where she's working, so a lot of the staff knew her mother, but none know that she has Alzheimer's.  I don't know when she'll start telling people...or why she hasn't yet.

This day, which I was hoping would go as quickly as all the other days of this year, has been interminable.  I wonder why.  The mind is a dangerous thing.  But, que sera sera and that's all there is too it.  I think I'm just fine, and I think I shall BE just fine on the 'morrow and the next day.
