Doing the dishes was a mistake in terms of leaving me exhausted. But at least , I can start cooking when I get up, if I want to.

One of my all-time favorite scores is Over Here!, the Sherman Bros. musical for the Andrews Sisters. Also in the cast were Ann Reinking, Marilu Henner, John Travolta, Wayne Cilento, Douglas Watson and Samuel E. Wright. I found this half hour of the show online tonight and it was a thrill. I had seen Patricia Birch's choreography for Charley's Place before, but the dance just makes so much more sense with Ann Reinking. And in the two minutes they have of Janie Sell, you can see why she won the Tony. She's a hoot.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-ungmKBCng

The bootleg footage also includes the Andrews Sisters' medley they added at the end, which is fun.

I just wish someone would rewrite the book. Ditch the narrator and the whole "come with me back in time" framework.

Was listening to a little of Samson and Dalila by Saent Saens again - it's pretty great and I gather he wrote other operas but I can't find recordings - still searching. But found on YouTube his Requiem, which is great.

I slept well until 3:00 or so.  At that point my nose was so blocked with gunk I could barely breathe, so I needed a handkerchief from the dresser drawer, and I debated taking a tizanidine for my legs.  At the same time Thatch and Stella came running to greet me - and probably tell me that wanted breakfast - and then Annabelle decided it was time to withdraw from her aerie and snuggle under te blankets.  I turned off the lights, settled down, and Thatch uttered a loud cry that alarmed me.

If one cry alarmed you, then Drakey would drive you over the edge.  He talks all the time.  I keep wondering if he is Jewish, because he often sound like he is standing at the wailing wall.

I am sort of watching the movie version of MAMMA MIA! and remembering when DR GINNY & RICHARD & I joined DR JOSE who was in the touring orchestra.....it was fun.

I loved the musical live, I liked the movie.

I went to the Red Wind Casino tonight.  My friend had a coupon for the fancy restaurant.  They like her there, I guess.  So after dinner, we played the slots for a time.  Then I won $500.00, so I  split.

Had hot dogs, did stuff for project one and then had a haircut, after which I picked up a package.

What a coinkydink!  I had a chili dog today for lunch.  Last week, I ordered one from Eagan's and my friend Judy, who works there, accidentally gave me the wrong order, but today I got the real deal and it was quite delish!

It is nice that there is a backway to the casino, so I can skip the freeway.  Not fun to take the freeway on a Friday afternoon.

The most I've ever won was $55 when my sister, niece and I went to Oregon to visit our cousin and his wife and went to a casino down there.

Where is Eagan’s located, George?

It's on Capitol Blvd., in Tumwater.  It's just a couple of blocks from Tumwater Blvd., which crosses over, and is exit 101 off of, I-5.
